How funny, I’m 56. I’ve been making Christmas Trees out of magazines since I was about 5. Back then we used TV Guides! My Grandmother taught me. Nice to see people are still doing it❤️ Loved your Gold version 🌟

I made the magazine trees for our church windowsills with glitter sprinkled on silver paint whilst it was still wet. They looked amazing in candlelight with foliage round the bases!

You could paint the toilet roll before you cut it into strips. The cut ends would be covered with the glue and glitter. Love your ideas. Thank you!

Hi! Awesome DYIs, I just started making these to decorate the office. Just one thing I needed to add, if anybody else is trying to make the tree out of the magazine.. a couple of tips to save you some time. Use thin paper magazines/catalogues, whatever it is you are using. Seriously consider her advice on the number of pages, otherwise it will come out uneven. Last, but not least- remove the harder covers. It may not seem like such a huge difference, but in the end it will, trust me, the weight of the paper makes a different angle when bended. Awesome video, thank you for the inspiration!

Amazing what you can do with things around the house, pity more people don't do this any time of the year. As a child we made some really awesome decorations for our house and for Christmas, shame more people don't teach their children of today to be more frugal.

The only frugal thing I saw were the inner tubes of tissue. Everything else had to be bought new and it was plastic - eg. paint; glitter; sticky on stars etc, etc.
