How to make 5 different styles of DIY Wooden Drawer Pulls. You can make the first drawer pull with nothing but a sander. But making drawer pulls with a router table and/or table saw opens up the possibilities to new profiles and cabinet hardware designs. Never buy cabinet drawer handles again!

I just added 5 drawers to my shop in my miter saw station. I ran out of time in the shop today, so I just searched making drawer pulls to see some ideas. Very nice. I had thought about the 2nd one with 15 degree bevels on both top and bottom. Simple - yet functional. Tomorrow they will be made!

Thanks, I just got done building Queen Captains Bed (Storage). I wanted to make some wood pulls because I knew most traditional Drawer pulls would eventually get damaged from getting in and out of the Bed. I liked the one cut at 15 degrees. Since the Drawer face was 33 inches I made the Pulls 11 inches about 1/3 the width and looks good. Used some reclaimed wood from old High school Benches from the auditorium bleachers that I got from a Demolition job.

I'm with you. I like the last one the best. I suppose you could knock out a bunch of these once you get the setups the way you want. Then you'll have them on hand as needed for future shop projects. For that last one, could you cut a notch on the table saw first then just make one pass on the router table to cut the curved profile inside? Would that avoid the need for that extra pass on the router table to clean up what was left by the rounded bit?
@Fixthisbuildthat
@Fixthisbuildthat 6 жыл бұрын
videoscrapheap good idea! I think that would work making the saw cut first
