5 Easy DIY Food Toys for Rabbits

3 жыл бұрынTurn your rabbits feeding time into a more engaging experience by offering food toys. These super simple DIY toys can be easily made with things around the home and are also a great way to bond with your rabbit.
Remember to always supervise your rabbit during playtime and don't overdo it with treats, pellets or veggies. I set aside my rabbits' portion for the day and spread that across multiple activities.
Some of these ideas could also be used to encourage bunnies to eat more hay as hay is the single most important part of their diet.

Great ideas, I would replace the plastic desert cup with a toiletroll and the newspaper with paper without ink on it. Plastic and ink are harmful for rabbits, so watch carefull if they 'eat' from it and replace them asap.

Hi! I don’t want to be a Karen and all, you can do this is if you want to but try replacing the newspaper with some natural brown paper since the ink is not good for them. Thankyou for the ideas from you and your adorable bunny’s! 👍

Watching this during lunch break makes me miss my bun already 😂😂😂 And your apartment is so neat and clean. I would really appreciate it if you make a video on how to keep your place clean with a free roam bun😊. My carpet looks disastrous with hay pieces and bun hair if I don’t vacuum for one day🙈

buns are the best! haha oo that would be a fun video to make! I'll add that too my list and try to get it up for you asap. To be honest, I clean frequently but it never lasts long. I'm in the process of trying to redo the bunnies space it try contain the mess better x

very cute! i personnally dont like pellets as they can be too sweet for rabbit's diet, but i do the same toilet paper thing with hay or greens and herbs. I try to tie up both end of a roll so they dont get their treats too fast! Nice video keep it up!

Hahahah I recognize your 'blooper' in the end. I once bought a bunch of toys for my bunny too for about 40(!) euros. But.. of course he only played with the paper box it was all delivered in. He didn't even look at all the toys. Damn Miffy, bad bad bunny 🤣🐰

LOL so true isn't it? I ended up putting those little wooden toys into a digging box I made for them so they act as little obstacles to the food that the bunnies have to move out of the way. At least they're somewhat getting used now haha

These are some great ideas I have to try! Especially that piñata 🪅 Where did you get the bunny waste basket? I saw it in the background and I haven’t been able to find one that I liked but that one looks exactly like what I had in mind.

Where do you buy the Oxbow treats? My bunny used to love those but the manufacture changed them. They are bigger, thicker, and harder for my bunny to chew. I'm excited to use your ideas. Thanks

Hi there, I check around stockfeed stores, the ones that don't sell pet animals (personal choice). I usually get mine from a Gumtree seller in Mulgrave (he rehabilitates horses), you should be able to find him on Gumtree by searching searching for Oaten hay bales in Mulgrave

Not crazy about the plastic cups and rubber bands. Plastic can cut their mouths, and they could get to the rubber bands...I like the other ideas.
