this is great but these pedal reviews NEVER mention all the other bits you need: £150 pedal board? £120 DC 9v power block? £60-ish for patch cables/guitar leads?

I have all those pedals. Lol. I’ve found that the mxr 10 band eq really responds a lot better running through the fx loop on my Marshall’s.

Putting an EQ in front of OD or distortion makes it possible to choose which frequencies are going into distortion first.

I have dozens of pedals that rotate on and off my board, but the 5 that never leave are the Ego, EQ200, Protein, Buffer+, and PolyTune.

TC Flashback II delay has several analog and digital delay, and Looper. Plus 3 memory presets, which can be downloaded to pedal.

Great video. I have budget versions of some of these: Joyo EQ, knockoff "Demon" Tube Screamer and am in the market for a reverb and delay. I wish Kramer would go back to the pointy or hockey stick headstock. That one reminds me of Samick from the 80s and 90s.

Nice video! I've been trying to find my own tone on Amplitube 5, but there are so many options, it's kind of difficult not to copy a famous tone. At least now I know the tools to get closer to the tone I want. Thank you!

Any of the big top (PMTexclusive) pedals are excellent value for bedroom rock gods, like myself. I have quite a collection of them. Also my 'fav' Boss BD2 and Vox wah. Try Berhinger Vintage overdrive, for a TS9 mimic, its mint!

Put a super overdrive in front of a 5150 on distortion. Then put a boss heavy metal (horrible) in front of a clean 5150....but Overlay the two sounds and you get the In Flames Clayman tone I believe 🤘

The Boss Heavy Metal Pedal if used right CAN SOUND GOOD. Its just a matter of how you use it.

I recommend the Script Phase 90 or the EHX Small or Bad Stone Phaser, it doesn't have the weird mid-range bump like the block phase 90

Dagan, I'm currently still playing through my Epiphone amp that came with the AFD starter pack. Should I upgrade the amp to the BOSS Katana (or similar with built in effects) or keep the Epiphone and spend the money on a starter peddle board based on your demo in this video?

In my opinion you should upgrade to a boss katana and saving some money for a footswitch. If you own a computer you can use the boss katana software which unlocks tons of features. Building a pedalboard does not make sense, if the smp is a total disaster.. The boss katana will be way enough to even gig with it (the 50w version is loud af) I used boss katana in the past and it was fantastic. Some people say, that the tone is very thin but you have to use the software to get all sounds you want

Start with a looper pedal. That will open up your sound and playing. All other pedals IMO are a waste of money.

I got a Snails Board off Amazon w pwr supply mounted for $79 works good.

You don’t need to spend £150 on a pedalboard. It’s really easy to make a DIY one for very little. None of the options on the market are worth the money.

No fuzz? Modulation is a must also even a cheap all in one just gotta make sure you try it out first there's some terrible ones out there that could ruin modulation for you like my first experience with fuzz did to me when I was young get a bad one or even put a good one after a buffer and crap city

Great video! Just having problems, because I want my amp to be clean and make the pedals distort or overdrive the sound. I think In the video the amp is already in a crunch channel. Which pedals would I need to use then?

Everything sounded good except for that Maestro pedal. Sounded like a like a cheap Corg bass amp you ran a guitar though.

Got a Boss ME-80 bought second hand. I find that full effects petals tend to be a more economical way to go when comes to effects. Have loads of choice with patches. I'm still playing around with the different effects. I think it is something to look at as I used a Zoom pedal for over about a decade and half that was a gift when I was in high school, until I got other gear.
