George Motz drinking game. Take a drink whenever one of these things happens: • George burns his hand on something hot. • George burns his mouth on a hot burger • George chuckles to himself while eating because it tastes so good. • George makes an innuendo. • George laughs at said innuendo. • George's glasses steam up.

The comment of " we don't have much good here in Mississippi " shows the bubble you live in. Mississippi has many great things, get out and explore. Food wise , delta tamales, Doe's eat place, many little shacks along the Great River Road, seafood shacks along the Gulf coast, litter Dooeys in Starksville.. etc etc You want a list of places to try hit me up.

I love peanut butter on burgers (it's basically savory icing at that point) and made a PB&J burger that tasted exactly like what you are describing. You have to find a jam that is only moderately sweet or a preserve with moderately sweet fruit to get it to work right but it's amazing when you do.

When considering burgers of the past, especially going back as far as a century I often wander about the flavor of the beef. The vast majority of our beef is by design as homogenous and bland as possible. I kinda want to experience the diversity of flavor that came with a little less homogeneity in animal feed, breed and hanging (for drying) conditions. I think that alone probably added a little something to the regionalism of American burgers in the early days that we have now lost.
