I loved the interview with Johnny Chang in Soft White Underbelly. The way he spoke about reconciling with his father after 20 years , that little smile when he said " i see my father almost every week now" was so heartwarming.

As a former gang member who turned his life around & went Corporate, I can’t tell you how much I loved this & appreciate Jubilee for putting this out there. It reminds me of the only thing I miss about that life, laughing & goofing around with the homies. A lot of us who sign up for that life aren’t bad people, just misguided. And just need either direction & empathy or consequence & a kick in the ass to help us realize that.

my only suggestion especially in videos similar to this one, is have a few minute bit at the end of the video allowing them to all talk about more of their experiences after they already know the mole and can talk openly

Jubilee as far as I know gives an individual interview to each participant after the show concludes. It’s pretty much our time to speak our mind and tell a bit about our story, if the topic of the videos calls for it, just like this one. Unfortunately, I’m sure jubilee wants/has to keep their videos within a certain length of time, so the editors aren’t able to include a whole lot of the post-show interviews. I was in an odd one out last year, and I legit spoke for over an hour during my interview lol, but most of our interviews have to be edited out for the sake of the video. It’s very understandable, but boy does it leave you wanted more after each episode! 😂 I know this is probably asking too much of the editing/post production team, but I think it would be so awesome if each episode of odd one out included separate videos of each individual interview. Jubilees channel would be super cluttered with videos if they were to do this, but I think it would awesome to be able to hear each persons full interview!

the accent bit was kinda crazy cause like personally, my dad was in the military so we moved around a lot and i kinda just have a non-region specific southern twang, but it’s not super thick. but i also live in WV currently and people assume everyone from WV has a super thick accent, but really most of the people i’ve met don’t have much of an accent at all. unless they’re from logan county lmao. but anyways not everyone really has an accent even if they’ve lived in one place for their whole life.
