Arrangement markers FTW! Great way to organize sections of track easily.

Thanks Patrick now I know how to create Takes instead of the annoying software merge. Although occasionally it can be useful, Takes will be more so. This should save me so much time, I might even get to create two songs a day now!

Garageband does so much that people don’t realise? If only they’d add a mixer and the ability to create effects buses it would be perfect for any job.
@TheGaragebandGuide3 жыл бұрын
Busses are one of the main reasons I see folks upgrading to Logic. A shame GarageBand doesn’t include them but can’t see Apple adding them any time soon 😞

As the once upon a time owner of every single analogue recording instrument who then progressed to Steinberg Pro-16 using a commodore 64... Back in the day. Then onto Cubase VST 5 (WHICH I HATED). After a near 20 year break... The world moved on. Now I have been trying to learn the modern way of doing things and three years later I still haven't outgrown GarageBand. What are the reasons that people don't stick with it? Great video again mon ami. Cheers 🍺🍺🏆

Great video again Patrick. Learnt some tips there. I use the track arrangement on every song. Not only is it a useful viewing tool but the auto drummer will adjust its parts as per the section of the song, which is a great starting point for getting the dynamics of the drummer for each song section. But I’m sure you know that....

It's an amazingly useful tool, I was so surprised by how many users didn't even know that it was there!

I've used Tip 3 to create entire piano parts (can't play keys worth a darn). The others are great and will come in handy!
@mitchelgarcianetti3 жыл бұрын
Heads up: the arrangement tracks will alter your drum track if you're using any automatic garageband drums. If you already have drums set up, this is a negative. If you set up the arrangement track first, then add drums, this is a positive. The drums will make an "intro" like start, then a "verse" style, a "chorus" style, a "bridge" style, an "outro" style.

Cool. But loads of videos I click on and then realise it’s not IOS GarageBand lol. I need to remember it’s also on Mac and up until recently I’d didn’t know it was, I thought it was just Logic.

Thanks Patrick... The secrets are out! RE the Master Echo/Reverb Sliders, this has always confused me as to their interaction with individual track settings for the same effects. As you mentioned, they are 'Global'... so would it make more sense if they only showed up on the Master Track? (I'm easily confused :) Cheers Patrick... Love all your GB Tips n Tricks Vids

Always good info here. I have a question - Is it possible to control the volume of any regions which have been created on the track without manually dragging the volume line up or down? I find doing this will often miss the exact level of increase/decrease I want, and it really adds to the amount of time I spend making fine adjustments.

I’ve only started using the Mac version of GarageBand as I got a 2nd hand MacBook Air 4 days ago. Not impressed. The hands on touch screen soft instruments aren’t there, the instant zoom in / out isn’t there, so much intuitivity (< izat a word?) is lost

No, The settings that you change are applied to the global Echo effect that's available on each track.
