When I was a noob and mashed buttons. I did a venom web assist and a cable grenade at the same time, and the arcade froze for like 30 minutes. Lol

I remember going to my local arcade after school and this one dude shows up and his only purpose is to do the Ruby Heart glitch on every mvc2 cabinet and make a run for it. Even though he got banned from doing it, he still managed to sneak his way in somehow and freeze all the cabinets.

I remember someone doing the Ruby Heart glitch at my local arcade when I was a kid. Even then I knew this game was busted so I wasted my quarters on the brand new Tekken 4 cabinet.

as a 31 year old lifetime fighting game enthusiast your channel has been so perfect for me man. I know 99% of every event, game, mechanic you talk about, but that 1% I learn keeps me obsessed with consuming all this content. Keep it up man, really impressed

A couple small additions: Against anybody with a super armor super (Colossus, etc.), use Magneto's HP throw and hit em with a snapback. It will turn them invisible, send them flying across the screen, and will remove the super armor. They stay invisible until they move, but can still be hit. I believe it works on Mecha Gief as well, but he stays Mecha. More fun with the Mecha Zangief glitch: Depending on the frame he is frozen on (I recall him upside-down being amazing for this), certain Thanos supers will make him absolutely FREAK OUT (I think the stone walls one). I used to experiment with this all the time on Dreamcast and got some amazing results.

Never really played this game, but one thing I've always wondered about the Gambit glitch. Is there like a time limit after snap back before Cajun Strike can be used? Like, if you snapback then wait say 5 seconds does it still happen? I'm assuming it doesnt happen if you use any moves between the snap and strike? This one just interest me a lot because all the others are dependent on players doing them intentionally. You'd only spam taunt during that move for the glitch, you have to actively combo the dead bodies, and all the others are situational to the point they'd only happen on purpose, but the Gambit glitch could just happen on accident if you forgot about it.

great video! never noticed the Felicia , also you may add the venom glitch which makes the characters up side down, another one is the character still alive and can do a lot of crazy staff with the life bar is gone, and the cable grenade+Thanos bubble glitch

MvC2 is not really my type of game but i love your videos about it, they showcase really well the legacy of the game, there's always some fun trivia and gives some context to the madness of the matches(Like in your Sentinel video, for example), great work!

I learned the Gambit glitch and Guile glitch from an 11 year old boy in my neighborhood bowling alley/ arcade. I asked him for an hour to teach me the secrets and he showed them to me after i gave him 20 dollars. No one i knew had ever seen these glitches. I learned the Thanos glitch on my own. Im 39 and still play this game on line.

I love the fact that the guy who glitched the game at the arcade celebrates and then jumps while softly say yeuh.

there's also the guile glitch that leaves the flash kick waves from his super on the screen causing your opponent to block every time the hit "back"...making it so they pretty much cant back dash OR walk backwards for the rest of the match...which is pretty game breaking . i know how to do ruby hearts version also...same as guiles idea. you lay the treasure chest that spawns the ghost, right as you lay the ghost chest and BEFORE the ghost spawns ...you snap the opponent out. if you do it properly the ghost will spawn and since there is no one to fly towards, it just sinks downward off the screen. but it still stays active offscreen somewhere...meaning ruby heart always has an attack onscreen for the opponent to block if they press back...so those 2 glitches are banned in tourney also

The #3 glitch is epic and good for common arcade fighting. I remember that infinity in the Xmen vs SF, using Sabretooth endless kicking to his dead opponent. ✌️♥️😃

This is awesome. MVC2 was clearly buggy as hell but it's def a shame UMVC3 lost support over time. Truly sick series.

Felicia glitch Why: has to do with active frames and coding of change States.

Only did it once using Xangief. He has this infinite hold where he grabs the opponent till the opponent burst in flames and just drain the lifebar. And also Guile's hanging jack knife where the projectiles are just stuck on screen, making the opponent block everyltime the player backs. I font know if thosenare bannable but its worth mentioning it. 😁. Awsome list by the way. You learn every day.

"Glitches that prevent the game from being played" Infinites: "Well yes, but actually no."

IIRC there's at least one more glitch that freezes things up (possibly breaks DCs), but I don't remember the exact methods. It's the Shuma Gorath glitch, where Shuma gets caught in one of his move animations forever. I do remember the setup for it being a bit annoying, though, so good luck. :) There's also the double-team glitch (also involving Shuma I think), but I can't remember all the details for that one either. Both of them are basically impossible in tourneys, because you need really, really precise timing and the other player to help you. Also, you have to play Shuma, so that's something. You can check out Magnetro's channel for some old combo vids that feature some of the glitches, but I don't remember if any of the vids show the setups for them. Thanks for the fun vid though :)

I remember in MVC where Gambit has infinite combo, you are allowed to land from his infinite kicking and punching until you die.

My pals hated it when I used Iron Zangief. 2 arcade sticks for the Dreamcast was a blast with the SF game. SNK Capcom 2 was amazing. Evil Iori, legendary.

I had someone do the Gambit glitch in the arcade, I was winning and he took a slight lead then disappeared and ran out the clock. It was horrible. What was worse was I was like 14 at the time and he was a grown as adult man and he was so proud of himself.

That last glitch is awesome. Is Gambit the one with the most game breaking glitches?

One I used on one-player or fighting against cheaters: use Rogue, and have her absorb someone's speed attribute. If you spam her low-kick during this time, she kicks the opponent so fast that by the time her foot hits the ground, she'll kick again! You'll get a large combo, and the opponent can't fight back. I used this against a guy who only liked playing games when he could win, then he'd brag about how badly you lost to anyone who'd listen. His favorite character was Wolverine, who gave Rogue the speed attribute. I'd kill all 3 of his players before her timer ran out. He tried to cheat by not telling anyone how to use supers (for some reason, his ps3 combo setup was different than my ps2), so I spammed this for 2 rounds. I beat him so badly that he rage quit in front of everyone at an all-night party my college threw, turned off the TV, unhooked the game and told me to get out. He didn't say anything the rest of the night, and I was the hero of my friend group that night! 😂😹🤣

love the glith of gambit, never seen it and zangief ,felicia too, i discover my own glitch with my RED team Ironman-bison-omegared frozen the game with the bisonassist and all credits are lost(in arcades that was painfull for the other players xD)

I remember another glitch you might have included with Venom and B. B. Hood... just DHC Venom Web -> Beautiful Memory before the web breaks and mash buttons, the game will freak out and leave your opponent frozen in mid air

lol that's actually me at the 2:03 mark doing the ruby heart glitch. It was done in Hilo, Hawaii at a Tilt arcade. My friend is digitalcomplex and he recorded me doing it. Glad to see that people are still enjoying it after all these years
