I thought I had given up trying to make these fiddly bracelets as I could never do them. But after this video I think I’ll give it another try. I also really like the idea of the button instead of tieing the bracelets.

Buttoning of braclets is done via the loop she made in start before braiding.

I tried two of these bracelets and they came out excruciatingly thin and they were messed up on the sides, even though I followed the directions exactly. I used embroidery floss. What did they use in the video to make the bracelets thicker?

The video names what material was used before each pattern. They used nylon thread, not embroidery floss.

I'm using embroidery floss you need to double up on the floss so instead of one piece you use 2 if that makes sense

I was wondering why you use a lighter for the ends, and exactly what that means? I've made lots of jewellery, but I've never used a lighter. Then again, I've never used nylon.
