These are awesome hacks! Wish you had more for the 2007 R-230 SL-600. I've had this car for 13 years and I am still finding little hidden hacks. And you're right. Nobody wants to read a boring manual.

One thing I've observed is that a lot of people don't realize that the volume controls (up/down/mute) are all context sensitive. If you're listening to an audio source then they control that. But if you're interrupted by a traffic announcement, pressing mute makes it go away and takes you back to your audio source. Also, during a traffic announcement you can adjust the volume of it so that all future traffic announcements are at that level. Likewise, with Navigation, you can mute to stop all future audio instructions (but will have to rely on watching the map) or you can adjust the volume relative to your audio source.

One thing I haven't seen in any of your videos that I did not know until recently and that I use very often now in my w209 and that it is very useful at least for very hot climates like we have in Spain is that after you have stopped your car and removed your keys is that you can dry the A/C system by holding down the rest buttom for a couple of seconds. Doing this the heater will work for a while letting the A/C system dry and preventing the system from smelling due to the dumpness in the evaporator

Keyless Go is a pretty redundant feature if you have to still use the key to override it. Good tip for those like my brother who has a '17 C class. My E class is old school, just the key.

Also another shortcut for the volume button, if you press and hold the volume button it will turn traffic announcements on/off. Its easier going through all the menus, i found this because mine sometimes randomly turned itself back on - without me setting this. It saves faffing in the menus.

Useful note about the double click and four flashes. However, MB owners should be aware that two slow clicks will not disable the key even though the indicators will flash four times. It requires two clicks in quick succession. For complete safety, either, double check the door each time or use a metal container to store the key (and don't trust Faraday bags as the fabric can abrade allowing the key signal through!).

I have a 2015 ML 350, the issue I’m having is the safety alert sounds are very low. For example, if there is a car in my blind spot and I try to switch lane, my alert goes on but if I’m not paying attention I would not hear it. Keyless entry is not disabled! You had merely disabled the key! That is what you do when you want to store your spare key without it draining the key battery. Try this double click and 4 flashes one one key and have your spare key on hand but not disabled, you will still be able to open the door keyless! So this is wrong. If someone had cloned the wireless signal, then this double click will still not work.

The voice activation is useless on our 2017 GLS350D, it always rings the WRONG person and demands a "line number"...which of course I have no idea which person is which because of course it then changes the line number and the contact. The other thing that sucks is trying to find locations in Australia where we live...landmarks that aren't your typical tourist landmarks don't come up in the search function....like for example, The Queensland Museuem in Brisbane, Queensland.

hello, a question: most Mercedes models with built-in telephone, are equipped with UHI connector and a cradle for a specific model and brand (eg Siemens S75). Is there an inexpensive solution to replace the cradle with a reducer where the UHI connector can be connected directly to an iPhone 7? or is there a diagram to make this yourself, and if necessary to connect via a bluetooth module? Not sure if it is related to this model but relevant to R230, if you are travelling with the any windows down in the car, and say a car/truck appears with a smoking exhaust in front of you, just pushing the cabin air recycle button will detect the windows that are open and auto close them and start the R230's recirculation.
