I just went to my first OI meetup last November. It was a blast, but I had 1 Universal vet like me, but we had 7 newbies with us. It definitely had me playing tour guide for much of the night. Can't wait to go on my own or with non-noobs someday soon. Thanks for bringing us with, we can't make it down as much as we (I?) want to. :D

My advice is to not underestimate how cold it actually can get. My daughter and I went to the event in Feb this year and the first night we were SO cold! And we are from Minnesota! Bring a jacket! The next night we dressed much warmer and that was great!

Yes, absolutely! Florida does get cold a few days every year 😂 we’ve made the mistake of only looking at the “highs” when packing for a trip and not having enough clothes. It’s not fun, for sure!

Looking forward to next Dec for a meet up! We were at the second Dec one last year. Was a blast! Actually saw you guys on the bridge to Hogsmede… I was staring into the distance against all the lights. By the time I realized a person was walking towards me (it was dark!) and I refocused on the person: it was Anna! I awkwardly froze because I was afraid you thought I was just staring at you. So I immediately walked over to my family and then fangirled by myself! 🤣

Hi Anna & Tyler! Very nice video on how to attend the Orlando Informer Meetup from season veteran’s. All of them are excellent points, especially the travel day tips. I know last year for HHN, I flew from California on a Thursday night REDEYE from San Francisco (arriving into Orlando at 7am) and originally thought about doing HHN on Friday night, but they were sold out of RIP TOUR tickets and I could only get one for Saturday night. So glad that I did, as I do not think I would have made until 2am on Friday night even though I was on West Coast Time. Ken

We did an early morning Behind The Scenes daytime tour for six houses and then a RIP tour later that night at HHN. We couldn't feel our feet around 1am that night but we were so glad that we took the daytime tour first. Its like having a tutor before the midterms.

Thank you, this helped a lot! I got in line for our tickets around 2:15 both days. That way we could use our food vouchers before we entered the park, but they don’t give those out anymore. At least they give free food.

Of course- I’ve been crying tears of joy since we pulled the trigger and decided to go(my husband had a stroke back in November-he’s only 40. It’s a YOLO trip for sure. I have a OI Meetup Check List and a picture with the Pugh Two is on it! You’ll send this happy hippie away in tears of joy if we cross paths!

Great info! I feel like I did everything correct for my first meetup this past December! Except for the sleep part 😅. I think I was up for 25 hrs from when I left home at 12:30 am Friday morning and arrived at 7:50 PM Friday night (thanks to a 8 hr flight delay 😞) finally got to bed around 2:00 am Saturday and back in the park at 8:30 Saturday morning and until the meetup was over. I was running on pure adrenaline. Sunday I took it easy and hung out mostly in Diagon Alley until closing and headed home Monday morning. I’m hoping to score tickets to the November meetup this yr! Hopefully I’ll see you guys this time! 😃

It was great to meet you in the speakeasy! It was my 4th meetup. Another mistake is forgetting to take advantage of the shortcut between AOI and Universal from suess landing and rocking roller coaster. Saves waiting for hogwarts express or walking all the way to city walk

I didn’t make any of these mistake cuz I actually do my research before any event, we got there at 5pm and stayed until almost midnight back in 2019, my feet were killing me, but Taylor created the best thing on earth❤

They have more dates than ever next year, and you can find them on their website! (Just google Orlando Informer Meetup and it’ll pop right up). They typically have 1-2 weekends in June and 3ish weekends in November/December. They’ve started adding a February weekend the last two years, as well!

Great video. My wife and I have never been to Universal but we scored meet-up tickets for both nights in June. Realistically, is there enough time to ride everything in those 2 nights. We are debating on getting day tickets also but don't want to tire out too early. Thoughts? We are staying at Royal Pacific and will have express passes also. Thanks!

You really should have plenty of time! Especially with express! You can get into the parks right at 5 (assuming it’s the same as Feb) and start tackling rides. Then, once the meetup starts, everything except Hagrid’s and maybe velocicoaster will be a ride now!

My daughter has been begging for us to go to one of these. How much more expensive is it for a trip for two compared to just a normal 2 days in the parks for a non Florida resident?..... I had other questions, but all I can think about now is butter beer. Love your content guys.

You’d have to price it out based on the dates, but it should be cheaper than a two day ticket with express both days. Plus it includes food during the event! They’re definitely worth it!!

Me again. I understand that we can pick up tickets at 3pm , and entry is usually at 5pm. Question ... What if you purchase both nights of the meetup? Do you pick them both up Friday night or do you have to pick up Saturday's on Saturday?

You have to pick up each night the night of the event. So you can only pick up Fridays tickets on Friday and Saturday tickets on Saturday. Hope this was helpful!

For the most part! They sometimes add special food items that you can’t get during the day to the existing restaurants, too!

They do! Universal has gotten a lot better with vegan/veg options, and have several things throughout the parks!

No, but you don’t need them. The event is at such a limited capacity pretty much everything but Hagrid’s will be a ride now!
