Alyssa Naeher did have a difficult season with her club team. A lot of those goals against can be attributed to a weak defense in front of her. However, she was exemplary at the Murphy, don't count her out just yet.

The 1st and most important decision Emma will have to make is to no longer call up Alex Morgan to the US Women's National Soccer Team.

The early news was that Hayes was looking ahead to the next world cup, this roster drop does not show that, it shows Hayes is looking to make a huge impact next year in the Olympics. The USWNT just got an upgrade.

The first thing Emma Hayes must do is convince the core roster to go abroad and challenge themselves leaving their comfort zone FC. That means Sophia Smith, Trinity Rodman, Naomi Girma and others should take chances playing outside USA.

It will be interesting to see whether Emma will concentrate on the long term process or immediate success to keep her employers happy. How the game is played is more important than scoring goals somehow to win couple of trophies and then fizzle out forever. She understands that modern football is a game of chess in the midfield. The reason she admires Barca midfield. Unfortunately Emma never had enough outfield players with technical proficiency to play the modern game at Chelsea. Same applies to USWNT. So will she groom the new generation and not win anything for a while? Time will tell.

It's a great hire to have a fresh and brand new outlook. Their is plenty of talent, crazy youth talent, as well as experienced talent(not the overaged). Figuring where the pieces fit is key, as well as the formation, plus changing formation depending on circumstances shouldn't be difficult for any player at this level. Looking forward to the new coach and the teams future.

Strength from the coach is crucial. Do not take crap from the ringleaders that destroyed the world cup. They are not the prima donnas they think they are.

As a former assistant coach in Pasadena CA, I knew they were going to loose at the Olympics, and also during Australia and New Zealand. Even I wrote twice to Andonosky he never answer but Lindsey Horan answered me and Carli Lloyd. I hope the new coach is going to answer. So the U.S. can start winning every time, they have the physique, they have the motivation, but where they failed is the Terrible Diet that their Cheff prepare for the team. They don’t have the energy they need when playing Big teams.

The USWNT hasn't lost since November 2022. Over a 12 year period they have some players beyond their prime and they drew with some very good teams. First, Americans, get a grip and don't let these Attacking Third's, Alexi Lalas' and Carli Lloyd's lead you by the nose. We have actually lost to Sweden in the past, woe is me. I am not ready for Emma Hayes and Matt Crocker to send our most talented players out of the States. The US has over 150 million ladies, Title 9, elementary, middle school, high school, college programs, travel ball. And now there's talk of sending away our best to learn from Europeans. Maybe US Soccer should have hired some Americans.

One thing Emma will definitely not be doing, is listening to all knowing American commentators, telling her what to do. To many Americans, this will come as an intolerable slap in the face, though the USWNT could alternately choose to remain in obscurity.

Focus on the future: Megan Rapinoe was allowed to stay on for FOUR YEARS after her sell by date had expired. As such, she STOLE valuable time to develop the future of the USWNT. Fortunately, the most prominent remaining ineffective veteran is Alex Morgan. Culture: allowing the players to bring in their political agendas into the pitch was a huge mistake and destroyed team cohesion and caused a huge swath of the team's biggest supporters to turn their backs on the team. The root cause has to be found at the top echelons of US soccer, not just Vlatko. Cindy Parlow has got to go, as well as other woke hacks that enabled this situation. Strategy: The US is stuck in their rigid 4-3-3 set up, creating a huge disadvantage at midfield against opponents. Weak development of players especially in technical skills: the US has fallen behind the Europeans at every level in terms of technical skills and in developing youngsters. The coaching has been horrendous in this area.

The ranking of the USWNT is meaningless, it exists in a bubble. If it were possible to do a true ranking the team might be somewhere in the lower half of the top ten. Then the results in the last Olympics and World Cup would not be a surprise. The current ranking of 2nd behind Spain is maintained by playing in CONCACAF and winning tournaments ahead of St. Kitts and Nevis, and playing home friendlies against Uzbekistan and China B out of the visiting sides season. No one's really interested in finding out where the USWNT stands and everyone will be surprised when they get tossed on neutral territory in the next major tournament. That might drop them to 3rd because they will have racked up points with wins against East Timor and Pakistan in Dallas and Connecticut in the meantime. Until Emma Hayes deals with that reality she will have no effect.

If Trans have enough interest then they can have their own league. She can do that on her own time after her playing days are over. To the veterans, show by example and remember you have some great young players with great skills. It doesn't matter who scores, as long as you do. A shot on goal is just a pass past the goalkeeper. It can't go through a player and if it's not there then fake shot, fake shot, fake shot until it is there. A defender has no choice but to react to a fake shot. It will take them off balance and open a lane for you. And to all defenders and mids - Always know where their goalkeeper is. Assuming you have practiced, take the long drive once in a while. It will keep them closer to their net and make it harder to support their defenders. Also my pet peeve, "Don't shoot at the sweeper/keeper line" You don't have to see, where they are, because you already know. And a shot is just a pass past the GK. I know it happens but the players sometimes think they need to blast it into the back of the net. Morgan is America's sweetheart but her way of playing is Ronaldo and that doesn't work well in a Messi era. She sits and runs for a long ball and 98% are intercepted.
