High gloss is really hard to keep clean. You need 2 cloths to wipe it clean. I initially like it when it first came out and now I would never do it. Thank you for sharing❤️

The best thing is a satin finish but that would mean having painted cabinets. My blue kitchen is a satin finish. It shows prints but not as much as a matte finish and high gloss

I love sinks & stoves on the islands/peninsulas. 1. I can watch TV while washing dishes or cooking 2. I have accepted that islands are a "gather mess space" 3. A scullery/pantry can help 4. I don't cook often enough for it to make a difference in my life

I totally agree on putting sinks, stoves and appliances on the island. However, I have seen people putting plugs inside drawers so that everything is closed up, I may consider that option.

I love the Plugs in the drawer. I think the stove in the island is worse than the sink. Imagine frying food and oil splatters on people sitting at the island. I just dont get it😊❤️

No ma'am you don't have a problem, you cannot stand clutter and will avoid it by all means. Once you have items displayed on an island it eventually becomes cluttered

Here I was considering gloss cause my dark grey matte shows fingerprints, I will consider other materials. There’s something about handles that elevates kitchen looks, so upper cupboard can have push to open but if one desires. I think one more thing from me is to cover my extractor! No more glass extractors😭 and NO BIN also. this was helpful you really shared insightful information thank you Mmabatho ❤

@17:16 😢😭😭😢 tšo I literally "camp" in my bathroom, it's my mini sanctuary. With your glassdoors next to the stove, are you unable to swap them with some of your solid doors from a different section? Sometimes we look at design inspirations and they are just sooo aesthetically pleasing but come with hidden practical headaches and I think this video was apt in highlighting that., thank you! Also, I know we love our spaces and modern-day solitude (maybe I should speak for myself), but it's equally important to consider the effects of accommodating guests in our spaces (to some extent), especially if that is a frequent feature, and I'm just thinking of the fingerprints situation. Otherwise ke bo "inama se go tshele". Honestly, with your creativity I would consult your independent eye to refresh my space (I know I have left you hanging on the curtains inquiry, no pun intended).

😊🥰no worries on curtains 🥰 The doors are different sizes so I can’t swap them. I can however, replace them. Maybe in the future. When it comes to aesthetics, i feel like there is a whole movement that is dedicated to making people’s lives complicated and not practical when it comes to functionality
