For years I collected Cherry Blossom depression glass. It was fun, I loved each piece and it gave relatives gift ideas. About 2 years ago it dawned on me that I rarely looked at the pieces except for my annual cleaning. So I packed them all up and donated them to our hospice thrift store. Hope that the pieces will sell, someone will love them as I did and the thrift store will get much needed income.

I do use an extra set of sheets. I only line dry, and if the weather does not permit drying outside when I need to change the sheets, I use the extra and then wash them on a later day.

I disagree with having only one sheet set, especially if you have pets. Two is ok to have. That extra one is for that just in case your pet gets sick on your bed at night. I sure don't want to be staying up waiting for sheets/blanket to get washed and dryed in the middle of the night just because I only have one set.

It took me a few months to adjust to a more frugal lifestyle, but I'm thankful, more happy, more at peace and less stressed than ever before. Screw the Joneses, they're broke anyway. I have 4 towels, 2 for me and 2 for my dog, plus 1 face cloth and 2 tea towels. I'm gradually moving over to reading digital books only. Once I've read a printed book, I then pass on to the charity shop or a friend. Printed books take up a lot of space, but digital books don't. Years ago, there was a trend where we all tended to have everyday cutlery, best cutlery, everyday crockery, best crockery, everyday tablecloth, best tablecloth etc etc. The 'best' was only ever used when visitors came, but all of the 'best' stuff had to be stored somewhere in the house. Thankfully that trend disappeared years ago, but I guess that some people who do a lot of entertaining may still do that.

No! Not my Barbie collection! I do have my vintage Barbie collection from 1960 to 1972. They are worth a bit of money. I have 13 of them all dressed in their original clothes. They are up on a shelf that was already in the house when I moved in. I do get a lot of joy out of them. Be careful though getting rid of extras. Take the spatula for example. I had 3 and got rid of 2. Not even a week later, the one I kept broke. It was plastic and does get brittle. Then I had to go and buy another one. It has happened with clothes also. Just really think about it before purging. Nothing worse than getting rid of something then needing it and have to go and buy it again.

I have already decluttered my closet several times. It is insane how much clothes I used to have. IT ABSOLUTELY IS INSANE! 😶‍🌫 I have donated 7-10 huge bags, and I am still removing things! I am 37 y.o., but I still keep my school clothes! 😅😅😅Certainly, I am a bigger size now, so I am going on with removing things. My husband and I use only 2 sets of bedsheets and blanket covers, but we change pillow covers often (so had to buy 2 more!). It is really enough. I buy the cheapest shampoo and collect soap leftovers to clean my toilet: I dilute it the way you taught us in one of your videos 😋 and add small soap pieces. The old clothes I cut into kitchen towels! There is one more trick my mother-in-law taught me: she cuts a big dish sponge into half. So 1 sponge turns into 2! The old sponge I use to clean the toilet.

Kitchen was first place i decluttered. I use 1 deep pan with lid and 1 pot for a 4 burner stove. My wall oven doesnt work and i wont replace until it is needed. I have shut off the breaker and now I use it for pantry storage! I got rid of all purses, now I just put a rfid wallet in my pocket, cell in my other pants pocket, and I carry my keys on my wrist with the band its on. I dont wear makeup so i have zero need for a purse. I gave away yarn i dont use and kept only the ones i have projects for. My single socks are thrown out. So im widdling down my excess little by little and am mindful of what i do bring into the house.

I have furniture and vehicles and more clothes for my plastic posse than I have for myself. When I see your beautifully blank walls, I imagine them lined with shelves and filled with dolls and action figures peering back at you. Insert evil cackle. Kidding. Yes, I admire you. I'm so with you on pillows for decoration. I watch home improvement shows from time to time and when they get to the end and reveal the finished project, you see it staged with excessive amounts of pillows. No one can possibly live in those spaces. Where are you supposed to put the pillows you have to move in order to sit down? It is especially egregious with excessive pillows on a bed. Most people only sleep with one or 2 max. The rest are redundant and need to be stored somewhere when you are sleeping. It is maddening.

I have to keep on top of that, too, or it'll stack up and stack up and stack up. I don't need all of it, but I love it. I buy too much. Great reminders! Just a few tweaks makes a big difference. Good quality pillows often come in a sturdy plastic case with handles and a zip. These are my bedding storage bags. I’ve recently switched to dry laundry soap sheets. No plastic jug of soap that is mostly water. (Im trying them out so this isn’t a review.) Imagine the cost of transporting these heavy laundry jugs all over the continent! I’ve minimized my clothing so much that hand washing occasionally is not a big deal. Saves water. Thanks PP🍁🍂🐇

I gardened and I cook up a lot of my vegetables ahead of time and freeze them but there's different ways that I cook so I use a wok and I use my cast iron pan and then I have a flat one that's especially good for pancakes. Yes I am a minimalist but I'm not going to get rid of things that I definitely do use. Here's the hard part I have plenty of room in my closet for clothes because I'm a minimalist however I have a lot of storage of my craft and sewing supplies it would look like your shed. There's just some things we can't minimalize. When I get a fabric and it's a good price when I find fabrics that I could use for my rug making I have to store them otherwise if I go out and buy something it's going to cause me a fortune and it's not even worth having the rug. But I make my own rugs so I have to save up fabric

Ha! Lol! I got into a discussion on one of your videos that led to me telling them you're a minimalist. They kept saying you weren't because minimalists don't own hardly anything. I told her there are all different levels of minimalism. She didn't believe me.

I think 2 sets at least. Or a couple extra top sheets. You already have them!!!! Get rid of rest . You could throw up and need clean right away!!!!!!

I would really struggle with getting rid of books. I have a lot of reference books for sewing, knitting, crocheting, and machine embroidery, which I use. I also have first aid reference books. I can always access a book, a computer or phone may not be available. I only have six place settings and silverware, one cooking pan set, I do have two frying pans as I find the different sizes are used a lot. I have one small corner piece with four shelves that decrease in size. This is the only place I have knick knacks. I have three sets of bedding, one of which is flannel. I do not understand the need for throw pillows or pillows on a bed. Why on earth would I need pillows that are just being moved when one wants to sit down or go to sleep? I do need to go through my craft supplies, this is my biggest weakness.
