Fun fact! Was just getting into the hobby when I saw Board Game Garden’s video on Merchants of the Dark Road and this game is truly is what brought me full swing into the hobby 😂 As you said Jamie, it showed me what board games can be

I think the art really helps Harmonies stand out from other nature games. A lot of nature games have really pretty but kind of boring art that blend together. Harmonies really popped off the shelf at the store for me. I got it before I heard any of the hype and was happy to see so many content creators liked it.

I agree with you about Merchants of the Dark Road. I really enjoyed that game. I initially backed it because of the theme and the Andrew Bosley art.

I’ve always felt production value justified set up time. If your game takes forever to set up, the materials and appearance better be awesome. That’s kind of the intersection for production value’s value to me. I love over produced 🤷🏼‍♂️

The Snapshot Biidjaa Vidya. Really enjoying Casadero, but need more plays before I can rank it compared to some other Knizia Tile Layers. It feels less "blocky" than Blue Lagoon and Babylonia, but those strategies may show themselves over some more plays. Also, Harmonies looks good. Hoping to get to play it sometime soon.

Really enjoy Harmonies. It's beautiful to look at, and it's strategic to play. I'm not sure why Merchants of the Dark Road is considered divisive. I do really like it. Thanks for the insight on these games!

Man Harmonies has got a lot of hype, I’m not sure about it, I’d love to see their marketing strategy. Tin Tin, the best, is it not as big in the States?

I don’t think so. Given it is a French cartoon I think it maybe was in some places and not others? I’m not entirely sure
