I send every lost backpack back to their owner. Even the Bandits.

There's a starting side quest where you have to meet a group of stalkers to hunt with them and their group is literally within visual and shooting range of a group of NATO soldiers. It's extremely painful. However they don't start shooting until you walk right up to the stalkers. So if you go prone, I think you can talk to the quest NPC, which advances the quest (he tells you they're already done hunting and you missed your chance) and you can just leave.

Another thing worth mentioning about steel plate is that it is both the cheapest and the heaviest. I wouldn't buy any because you can find them littered around the land in random containers. They won't be full durability but if you check containers you should find enough that you'll never have to buy any

For Blackholes when /suicide just hit Z to prone its more easy and safe to can pick up backpack back :D same with vortex with prone mode have more range of pickup

In Yanov and red forest, there aren't regular vortexes anymore. At least, most of them vanished. 9 out of 10 of them are vortex blackhole combined. Those truly suck. Edit: fixed typo.

Advise you get the svt or mosin and the 4x scope at boat house. Makes getting out of there so much easier agaisnt npc. Still using my 4x in the dump area.

Lost backpacks allow for a few things to do. 1. Mail it back and hope for good samaritan points. This spreads positivity but the more free bags i been sent back. The more i sent myself and i always tip pending on the value of the bag. 2. Sell it to fences. This sucks. Never worth it and only frustrating. You get around 5% value. So something worth 200 ru you get 5 RU. Its so shit. 3. Auction it. Here the mindgame starts. Ask to much and they wont touch it. Ask to little you dont get any money. This is based on auction value. 20x transform items. So 20 copper wires are round 50-60k buyout. So if you got 40 ypu should get an ez 25k. You need to figure this out. rostok pickles sell for insane. But graveyard/pit barter items hardly worth anything. Hope this helps. Its up to each one themself to consider if factions matter if bags from bandits or stalkers deserve any better or worse.

You can get your bag back from a Blackhole easily. Just drag a Mob into it and grab it. BlackHoles can only kill 1 Entity at a time

Do you know if you get seekers mockingbird from a main quest? i wont be crafting explorer armor if so because I was working towards a mockingbird.

the Black holes are kind of BS I think. Somewhat ruins the game, but its such a fun game I am willing to deal with them.

I dont vendor my back packs i hold em as a trophy been playing for 2 days and already have 20 backpacks

new armor plates are dum. composite is now the same as steel was. Steel is almost like you're not wearing any. And ceramic is just breaking instantly, and also is the most costly.
