Neil, buddy, you just saved me a chunk of change. One day I will own a Kubby , but I just learned I don't need a snowblower. Where I live in Wyoming, the snow is as dry as dust and for the most part, when it does snow, it doesn't get deep enough for a blower. A compact machine with a loader, wheel weights and maybe a ballast box will be fine. When I lived in MA. I used to have an IH 350 Utility with an 8' snow bucket, but that was back in the late '60s and early '70s. Still wish I had that machine. i moved mountains of snow with it.

I have a 3 stage snow blower for my lawn tractor, it works great....as long as you have about 8" of snow or more. If you have anything less than about 6-8" at a minimum the blower doesn't work as well, and a blade would be recommended. I don't have a blade for my lawn tractor, and soon to be getting a Kubota BX2680 with a loader, box blade, and probably a roto-tiller so I wouldn't worry about getting anything else snow removal related for my lawn tractor LOL...although my lawn tractor handles the snow blower just fine, the tractor will become the light duty snow removal tool. The blower is great on sidewalks where I can't fit my tractor for example.

Love my 52” Caroni flail mower mounted on a Kubota BX2660. This spring mowed native grass plots with 5 ft Cheyenne Indian grass then scalped the buffalo grass around the house. The flail mower chops the grass and lays it flat to later retain moisture and deter new weed growth.

I like your jacket. Especially with the kubota logo. I like to get one and do some advertising for you while using my new mini kubota I recently purchased. When its cold outside, of course. My new bx1880 should be delivered this week. I can hardly wait. It will be my very 1st "bota" anything. You can thank my good friend, Paul Short, up in Bay Roberts, Newfoundland Canada for that. He's been making mods for kubota for some time, now, and my new "mini bota" will have the cutting edge which is not a new concept, but he 1st put it on his bz25d and started a trend. I wanted a bigger one, but for what I need done and to keep price affordable, I went with it with loader and box blade to start. J plan on get the stabilizer bars you have to replace the turn buckle things on mine, assuming you any left. Great videos, BTW, no matter the subject.

Getting one with my BX for the driveway. Unless you have a nice fancy paved or concrete driveway, you'll use a box blade quite frequently, they also work to push snow with. Box blade, and a 54" straight blade, front end loader, roto-tiller, and possibly the snow blower in the future are my initial purchase items.

On the loader for y'all tractor do it come or can I get the third function hydraulic option for the loader to operate attachment like grapple bucket , grapple root rake , 4 in 1 loader bucket or any other auxiliary attachment ?
@wildbill23c
@wildbill23c 4 жыл бұрын
Yes you can get a 3rd function valve its optional. Many never have a use for it or the rear remotes so they're both optional on the BX and I believe the B as well. I'm throwing around the idea if I should get it put on when I buy my tractor or wait till I find a use for it on an attachment then have it put on. Initially I won't have a need for it, but if I get the front 60" blade and/or the 50" front snow blower I'd need that 3rd function...not sure if I would ever have a use for a grapple on the property I have, I don't have brush or much in the way of tree limbs that I'd need to move. So the blower and blade are the only 2 things that a 3rd function valve would most likely get used for in my case.

I watched all your videos enjoyed them immensely very informative. I have a Kubota bx24 Here is a problem I am having that maybe you can help me with I took my bucket off and my backhoe used my more and it worked perfectly up and down with setting the height no problem put everything back together use the loader for a day park the tractor the following weekend I went to mow drop the bucket tobacco and the deck will not go down on my tractor will not move either way it is all the way up. I believe it must be something simple because it's never gave me a problem I just bought it last year and I've only use the mower a couple of times if there's anything you can think of that I should try I would appreciate some information thank you.

there is a 'top' position for the mower deck height. either that, or watch the video on 'the most misunderstood control on a tractor'. the 3pt is linked to the mower deck height.

You probably locked your mowing deck in the up position. You have an adjustment below the seat . Turn it to say 3 and see if that helps.

FELs arent really an "accessory" anymore. I welded a couple of hooks on mine (one facing forward, one back) and use it all the time to lift stuff and pull bushes out. When I wore out my RCR-1272 blades, I bought the "OEM" replacement blades from LP. They were probably 30% thinner than the originals and they flop up and bang into the deck gouging it when I hit a thick patch. You can see the outline of the cutting path from above now.

1000 pto is a way to transfer HP with lighter weight components. If you needed to move 200 Hp to an implement, you would need heavier components to do it at 540 RPM than 1000. Its just an engineering tool, it does not make the implement function differently.

I didn’t either till I bought land out in the country. We got tired of the cookie cutter life. Now I couldn’t imagine not having one. I mow 4 acres, keep up with a 700+ ft gravel driveway and use my little bx for everything. Credit to messicks for the awesome videos. They were instrumental in swaying me toward Kubota. Too bad my dealer here in TN wasn’t that good. Wish I could’ve just bought from them instead.

I don't have a tractor either...yet. I've been wanting/needing one for the past 30 years, just never have broke the piggy bank open. This year is changing that, finally decided to break down and buy a sub-compact tractor. BX2680 here in the next month with loader, tiller, and box blade. Got several chores coming up that the tractor is going to be a lifesaver for. I'm ordering a couple loads of gravel for the driveway that'll need spread out, covering an old irrigation ditch that I attempted to do with a Troy Bilt walk behind tiller and just couldn't get dug in deep enough to get it filled in properly its all uneven and very rough, several places around the property that need graded, etc. Tons of stuff that the tractor will certainly get used for....plus snow removal occasionally if it gets deep enough, last 2 years haven't had much...2016-2017 would have been tractor snow removal wonderland with the 2 feet of snow we had.

Joey83 They put no more pressure on your hydraulics. The pressure relief valve makes sure of that. Every time you get to end of travel etc you do the same thing. In regards to work... They do tons of work. Certainly not at the rate of a 365 Cat but they aren't meant to. They reach dig pools basements and any other digging chore you can think of.
