@@FoodandFootprints Istanbul, Ephesus, Pamukkale, Cappadocia, Antalya, Fethiye...the list goes on. Two months was way too short. It was full of firsts for me. The people, the food, the rich culture and history, the natural beauty, etc. my mind was blown daily. A mixed-blessing...hyper-inflation was a major issue back then, which made it rough for the locals, but great for travelers on a budget. I hope your adventure is full of unexpected surprises for all of your senses :)

Cardamon is one of my favorites especially when added to coffee. Love my 11am Turkish coffee! We love that gozleme place! It is one of our all-times favorites. Lieles always gets the potato one, I like to customize it with spinach, cheese and sometimes even mushrooms lol

It can be an acquired taste for sure. Key is letting the coffee settle a bit once you get it so the grounds go to the bottom. We love it though!

Love love love all the beans, chickpeas, kuru fasulye, and the lentils (mercimek) and yes Turkey has tons of options for vegetarians, it truly is a paradise of options. Same for me, I don't necessarily love cay like Lieles but I drink it in Turkey all the time. It is part of life there.

Arrive in turkey & straight away into the good stuff! That mackrel sandwich 🥪 looks the bomb, perfect simple comfort good especially for 10 lira. I didnt check the date of the video it can be late but anyway I am talking as an expert go to Bursa first then Make an L on Turkey map go like Bursa-İzmir-Antalya-Konya-Hatay-Gaziantep then visit a city on black sea region like Trabzon and come back İstanbul. This is the absolute route to fully cover Turkey.

Oh yes! Nothing beats freshly baked bread. That mackerel sandwich sounds great 🔥! I had to look up what 10 lira equaled in usd. And oh my goodness what a good deal!

Some parts of Bangkok's airport were pretty eerie, but the main checkin area was busier than we expected. Thanks a lot! Definitely a learning curve on how to pronounce words in Turkish for us.

No need. We just needed a negative PCR test and had to fill out a health declaration form before we arrived. Think there is a quarantine requirement from a few countries at the moment, but that keeps changing.
