🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥goals 👍I have a 71 beautiful k5 .... I already have my 14 bolt full float factory disc brake axle the only problem is that it’s in my backyard and not on my truck the front axle is damn near impossible to find and when you do find one they’re asking 3-4 k for it ouch !!!😖

I did the crossover steering on my Dana 60 but still need to finish my ram assist unit. Turning on 37s is kinda like manual and that’s on road. ORD makes a sway bar disconnect kit for the crossover unit.

Couldn't agree more... Love all the info but no way can I actually see what is going on because of all the unnecessary movement.

Sorry about that and sorry for the late reply this was before my back surgery I have a horrible back and it’s hard for me to stand on one leg at a time so I kind of get in the habit of swaying so I need to use a tripod or something different

Great info sir. Ive found the front willwood brake caliper set. I am having trouble finding willwood calipers for my 14B full float though. Would you happen to have any links for that?
@DSRE5352 жыл бұрын
It’s the exact same as the front, and then I bought a rear disc brake conversion kit for the rear that uses front calipers from I believe diy4x

I picked up a m1009, has 10 bolts it'll be a while before im able to get 60s do you think 10b and 35s with chromoly axles should hold up? No crazy off roading and beating it up, but will take it out i believe in driving it there and driving it back lol but your input would help thanks !
@DSRE5352 жыл бұрын
The m1009’s were 8 lug 3/4 ton I thought? But yes totally know if you’re not being crazy on it 10 bolts are fine for quite a while I’ve ran in before with 35s and i was fairly hard on them The biggest weakness I found was having an open rear differential spinning one tire and then the other tire catching and it would blow up the spider gears but other than that it did fine but I wouldn’t put any money into them, You can save up for bigger axles later They are stronger axle than you think, Don’t get me wrong you can break anything if you try hard enough but within reason they do good
@danielr.78702 жыл бұрын
@@DSRE535 not 100% im sure they arent different for what they were used for 08's were 8 lugs this was on a naval base with 40k miles so couldn't say no, thanks i feel alot better now lol read what ppl say makes it seems like they will break going up the sidewalk lol
@DSRE5352 жыл бұрын
@@danielr.7870 yeah you can’t listen everybody lol but yes I understand the Internet we had you believe that the minute you let your truck down off the jack that the 10 V will snap in half but that’s just not the case, the internet can scare you out of doing just about anything and make you second-guess everything you do in your truck but just go have fun, fix it when it breaks:-)

Hey Derek, that my name too! Hey, do you plan on doing anymore videos? I'm thinking of subscribing if you are. Also if you are going to make more content, can you please turn your phone 90 degrees when you're recording so it's a full screen video? You would probably have over 1,000 subscribers by now if you recorded full screen videos. I just binge watched all of your videos and they were alright except for the narrow view record you did, I think that's why you didn't get very many thumbs up with some videos that had none. Don't worry, I corrected that. Anyway, make sure to let me know if you plan to make more.

That kit is from off-road design and it fits 73 to 91K fives I’ve never tried to put it on the 72 earlier K5 so I’m not sure exactly what’s the difference there but I think the swaybar is different

No problem, I cut it to fit on mine I measured it out and just did it that way I bought the steering shaft from ORD and then I did it because I wanted to make sure that I had the right amount of shaft and still have slip movement, especially in case you get in an accident you won't get impaled by the steering shaft
@crazyfoolbb12 жыл бұрын
@@DSRE535 so did you go with the 79-94 specification?
