I like the simple eye color. I have the old version of the foundation and it is in my regular rotation. The only problem I had was not getting the correct color. I exchanged for the right color and it looks good on my skin. I also powder lightly with their loose powder. Even though I have mature dry skin I still have to set most of the foundations I wear. I think if you get the correct color and lightly powder it would work fine for you. Have an amazing week and thank you for the different demos, they can be helpful!

What a great suggestion with the Chanel - will definitely try soon. I am still surprised how much I like the Water Fresh Tint despite my combo skin. Really enjoy your recommendations and your chanel vibe.

I have used the old version of the foundation and it was amazing ,it was expensive but it made my skin look flawless.

Hi Grace, I love, love the La Prarie foundation. I have been using it since November 2023 and it is one of my best foundations. It’s so beautiful. I had to go to Holt and had them swatch on my face to find the right colour, though. My perfect match is NW-10. I almost hit pan with it but it is so expensive so I have to slow down and use up my Chanel and Suqqu and CDP first.

I don’t think you should try another shade. You look beautiful in the chantecaille glows or the Chanel water fresh. And your other concealers seem better as well. The Valentino seems dry on your lips and both blushes lifted the concealer. The eyeshadows seemed ok. Xo

I wonder if the silicone is making the finish somewhat unstable. I have this issue with some foundations and concealers.

I have the CDP The Foundation and found that I like the La Prarie better. It is a luxury experience and feeling every time I used it.

Hi Grace ! Thank you for this video! Considering the price of the La Prairie foundation, it’s not worth it. In my opinion ,this foundation is not flattering on you ( at least on camera) and you look so beautiful with your others natural foundation! At that price point, we’re not supposed to try so hard to make it work. For your blush , it’s possible that your CDP brush disturbs the concealer underneath. With some concealer it’s better to use a flat brush to tap the blush on. 💖

You should go to the store and sit there and have them find you a shade match. It’s a lot of money to settle for something you don’t like.

Hi Grace, I had the previous version of La Prairie foundation and also the new version. First thing I was disappointed was the packaging. I hoped that the new version will have a pump and didn’t happen. Than the foundation itself. The new one is drier and the shades are harder to match. The concealer in both old and new version is average in the best case scenario. In my opinion the old version was better. In Australia the price is $415. For the price point I want an effortless application, a flawless skin, a very good concealer and a packaging with a pump. This foundation didn’t meet my expectations and I will never buy it again. Chanel Sublimage foundation or Chantecaille Future skin foundation are much better and at least you can use all product from the jar. For skincare I am focusing on ingredients. I know what my skin needs and tolerates (very sensitive skin here): cleanse, exfoliate, anti aging benefits, hydration and spf. For cleaning: micellar water followed by a cleanser For exfoliation: chemical exfoliants For anti aging purpose: 2 serums for face (I can’t tolerate tretinoin/retinol/retinal) and one for eye area For hydration: a face cream and 2 eye creams SPF: light texture, no white cast, non comedogenic and fragrance free. I will never pay thousands of dollars for skincare (ex: La Prairie) because for me it doesn’t make sense. My skin is in a very good condition for a fraction of the price and without tones of irritants, non sense/useless ingredients and highly fragranced products you can find in La Prairie or other uber luxury brands. Back to makeup the only product I like from this video is the Sisley lip balm. Thanks for sharing!🙂

You need to have full skincare on your face before applying the foundation. It’s a very hydrating foundation but for our mature skin, we need to prep our skin first, same for any foundation.

I love La Preirie skin care and foundation. I am in the color Soft ivory N05. Iove the finish that it gives you but the shade in my opinion is a bit to pale almost whiye for you. It is a very pricey foundation. I will try to go for an exchange. I never buy foundation on line. I go to the store ans ask for tow or three tiny samples i try them at home and then buy. like i said love la Preirie but the concealer that comes with the foundation yo me is to hard and drying so I don't use it. My opinion. XO
