That's not what 096 does though. The "Shy Guy" will kill anyone that sees his face. Nothing can stop it. One of the stories 096 was in the background of a photo, barely even a pixel, and it still killed anyone who looked at the photo because it "showed" his face

Older then the first known listing of the episode by a few weeks. Unless someone at the BBC made the SCP, there was no way to know they were coming. Their both based on the same myth of moving statues.

The SCP im the foundation's name itself stands for the Secure Contain and Protect. The Special Containment Procedures are what the items are called.

SCP Foundation stands for "Special Containment Procedures" Foundation. That's the entire purpose of the SCP foundation after all.

What makes them good is just how "real" they are. While the creatures themselves are fairly fantastical and otherworldly, the way they're treated and the formal format they're written in makes them feel more plausible. It's pretty sweet, I think.

Luckily SCP-096 isn't triggered by depictions of drawings of itself. Rather it is triggered in a photograph no matter how little of its face you see...just four f@*king pixels. The thumbnail has Siren Head which is not an official SCP but is a powerful Cognitohazard which makes people go mental when they see that people believe SCP-6789 is an SCP but is on the webpage with a URL creepypastafan.fandom. This is the true threat in this thumbnail to those who know the lore of The Foundation.

Mixing SCP have had disasterous results. Some SCPs adapt or produce unexpected reactions and shown new abilities that couldn't be controlled so easily, others cancel each other out and make the experiment redandant. Its generally advised against carelessly mixing the SCP powers.

@@AngelEmfrbl I'm talking about using the cure that comes from scp-249 to find the chemical makeup for the cure, test it on 100 molecules of scp-217/610 and finding out the percentage of effectiveness and try to perfect it as much as possible and eradicate 610 and 217

@@booneroberts9563 As I said, the problem is that mixing SCPs is dangerous and even with that paticular one, unless you know what your doing its dangerous. The SCP project has notes about that pages on its wiki just hold the known information; meaning they keep the doors and ideas open that whats on a page is not intended to be everything. Some pages like the Statue are locked but that was to preserve the page as it was the first SCP page ever made before the wiki was a thing. But people were entitled to added and expand ideas and swap notes. Therefore, new abilities, experiment notes, etc could be added at any point. Ergo, hence why I said about thee being unpredictable results. One SCP can trigge sometimes hidden abilities of another that no one knew it had. This is why mixing them ends up being danagerous and why, according to the sites lore, they don't just allow it to happen without carelessness. I read the site when the first video game came out...
