You may have just missed it, but it was incredibly viral 11 years ago. Everyone in my highschool tried doing some form of it for talent shows/group presentations. 😂 As to why you're seeing it now, KZfaq works funny that way. Maybe a couple of people revisited this video a few years/months back in memory of the band's bassist (bearded guy), and that caused KZfaq to recommend it to the general newsfeed. The continuous wave of new views, likes, and comments then keeps it relevant in people's recommendations. So you may have missed it when it came out, but at least its given a second chance and you're able to witness this amazing performance. ❤

@RylanStorm5 ай бұрын
@@n3llybean I'd suggest that "most musicians can do this" is a bit of a stretch. Lots of musicians can, but there's also a huge amount of vocalists who only play when they are not singing, or only sing when the instrument's rhythm matches the song's cadence. I think the majority of musicians fall into the same camp as me. There are certain songs I can happily sing over whilst there are others where the guitar part and the vocals are so rhythmically detached that it's still impossible.

@Jantol93 Жыл бұрын
@@Bubblemation 1. The vocals are clearly pitch corrected. To do that you need an isolated vocal track, which is impossible to record the way the video shows because the mics would pick up the guitar as well. 2. They are singing too far away from the mic to sound like that. The vocals would have more reverb if they were really that far away. 3. Look at her right hand. Picking that lightly would not produce an attack that sharp on those chords. 4. Multiple fingering mistakes by the guy playing the melody. At 2:04 he is fingering the 3rd fret but you can hear the 5th being played. This is a cool idea and they are probably able to perform this, but this audio was not recorded as this video makes it out to be. I play the guitar and have some experience recording. How about you?
