5 people taken to hospital after collision involving bus and trailer truck at Ophir Road

Five people aged between 39 and 93 have been taken to Raffles Hospital following an accident involving a Tower Transit bus and a trailer truck. The accident happened at the junction of Jalan Besar and Ophir Road. Bus service 857 was involved in the accident along with a flatbed trailer carrying rebars. Chloe Teo reports.

Not tailgating. The trailer was on the left lane turning left and the bus was on the center lane going straight. While the trailer was turning, the metal rods were protuding out the back of the trailer thus spiking the side of the bus.

There was also road congestion at that area due to roadworks that day, that traffic jam may have caused some drivers to be impatient.

observation of picture from video penetration point leading to rear of rear-door glass-windows shattering construction area with many road-redirections and bad-surfaces and electronics-ecu of bus. many times, bus degrade in performance, in some sections like air-cargo complex, and also too many gamma radiation... air-suspension, engine, brakes behaved like era of retarder-brakes. singapore should replace ECU to mahindra-tata no-electronics version. electronics engineers psychological-profile needs to reflect regression after conceit of - top of engineering (not true but fed conceit until self-destruct, same as other conceited professions)

Driver's driver's driver's Always driver's fault. No one blame the operator's management. Who wants accident? We only know to blame but got no balls to try this field. They need manpower, go try and feel the mistreat and unfair treatment from the management people who only know how to TC. And why nobody blame the trailer's company? Where are the escorts needed to transport such load. Why no one blame the traffic police for allowing and authorized construction workers to guide traffic? Our work, we blame our bosses and management. Others we blame on the employee who causes it.

Are u stupid. Didn't u see how ignorant the bus driver was maneuvering the bus? He just sped across, not even slowing down even a little bit or caution about the huge lorry right before his freakin eyes. he completely disregarded the presence of anyone else as he sped across. Look at that speed when the collision took place! Buses in singapore drive as if the whole damn road belongs to them. Open your b1tch ass eyes before pushing the blame on the lorry's side. This driver should be sent to freakin jail !!
