I am about 75 miles south of Southern Mississippi (Gulfport, Mississippi) and go to those games and South Alabama (Mobile, Alabama also 75 miles east of me) games as well. The men's teams play after the women's games in the Sun Belt Conference. I missed the USM vs. USA matchups last month and this fight going on tonight? Although I do not condone fighting, the entertainment happens when I am not there.

3:10 - 4 players for Southern Miss were ejected to 1 for Arkansas State. Arkansas State ended up shooting six free throws and making five of them to take a 31-30 lead and went into halftime up 37-34. The weird part is that Arkansas State ended up losing 48-57.

well it wasn't anything Southern miss did to their player it was their player just being catty & stupid let alone immature. That's no reason to get in trouble or put yourself at risk of suspension or risk of being kicked off the team. Now when you attack one of my players let alone push her into the ground or the team bench affecting other teammates I'm going to respond which obviously several players did & why the ejections were lopsided especially when the Ark st player started throw closed fisted punches let alone knocked down one of our coaches. I think two out of the three fans through went down to help & didn't actually do anything. I'd guess they were connected to the girl who got tied up & pushed to the floor & into a chair & stayed down most of the entire time. One girl did get & yell at the other bench & refs but the other two seemed to just be concerned with I'd guess a friend or family member who was possibly hurt.

I've seen this same situation in other videos, and we never got it resolved. But by the strictest letter of the rules, yes they could be ejected, and more than a few refs would call it that way with no exceptions. I remember seeing a video where there was a fight on the court, and a girl was ejected because her foot touched the baseline when she was (unsuccessfully) trying to hold a teammate back from getting involved.

If you slow it down you can see that she is the one that started it all. When her and 14’s arms get tangled up you can see her hook 14’s wrist in an arm bar and rotate to almost yank 14’s arm out of her socket.. which then prompts 14 to shove her off her and then 2’s teammates come to her help.

Watch the video. No one was fighting her. She was out of control. Do you like to see this? Anger flushed out to others who are unsuspecting? She didn’t “take” anyone. You’re clearly seeing the video from the wrong perspective.

Then you didn’t watch it in slow motion where you can see #2 hook the arm of “big girl” and rotate her body to twist “big girl’s” arm. Which then prompts “big girl” to shove her off because she doesn’t want her wrist snapped… to say she was the aggressor is the opposite of what happened. Yes she reacted and then threw punches, but #2 was definitely the one that started it.

@@doggyd.floofy7445i agree with you. And then when she finally git loose the white jersy team came to her defense. Seems to have been lingering emotions from earlier. Then once the group of girls attacked her she (black kersy) had to defend herself. The black jersey team did great by walking away, the team is needed to finiah the game. The fans from the stands seem to be related to the white jersey with red braids.

#35 from Southern Mississippi is the one who knocked her own coach down when she grabbed #14 from Arkansas around the neck from behind. Regardless the entire team was attacking #14, though her push off over the ball was aggressive but good grief the fights take away from the game. The best payback is points on the board and winning.

Walking away was the best decision for your team to win. Watch the documentary Untold Malice in Palace, that brawl cost Reggie Miller and the pacers a championship. Several players were suspended for lengthy periods.

While I get your point, neither team is nowhere near the level of the Pacers or the Bad Boys of Detroit. I don't think any player on the team getting suspended would make much of a difference.

So how did she start the whole thing...nobody thinks that mayber her actions were reactions to the other player trying to break her wrist or arm in the beginning...so she gets pushed off and immediately gets in her face which no one knows what was said she gets pushed again in the mist of being surrounded by the whole team...u back some one in a corner in a hostile situation its fight or flight...she chose to fight

Says a lot about a player when the rest of the team walks away to let their team mate take a beating. Also they ejected 3 fans that means they ejected almost 50% of the fans at the game
