The girl from Serbia, I guess she's not formally trained in linguistics, so she doesn't know all the technical terms, but my gosh she knows so much about so many languages, it's super impressive!

Pour moi, le français est plus difficil qu'allemangne à cause de la prononciation et la vitesse. In German, Spanish, and even Japanese, I have a much easier time with word segmentation, while French just all blends together. Et je dis ça apres qu'apprendre le français depuis quatre ans plus recement.

As an American, I'm confused as to why this series keeps choosing 20 year olds to represent our country??? They can barely speak English. How would you not know that a Mailman is also called a Postman when there's a popular American song titled "Hey Mr. Postman", and he works at the Post office?
@marcblum74933 күн бұрын
Because if you show three sixty years old linguists talking about grammar and philosophy you gonna make 30 views.
@kevinjackson21223 күн бұрын
Agreed! So why not show 4 people between 35 and 40 years of age who can communicate without emojis or text messages? These young people have all the knowledge in the world inside their phones, and never access it.

"It's easier to fake an American accent" I wonder if that's because of America being a melting pot so the language sort of evolves to the lowest common denominator way of speaking it that requires the least effort
@Satoshi-yd7lj57 минут бұрын
I think it might be because the world is engrossed in American media and every human's ears has some attunement to it.

No Brasil falamos o brasileiro @❤❤ português é um idioma do passado colonial
@nathalisilva96834 күн бұрын
Nada a ver. A língua é a mesma, apenas com pronúncia e algumas palavras diferentes. Não jogue ideologia política em cima da linguística. O passado colonial não impede o português brasileiro de ser o mesmo idioma de Portugal.
