I took a break from the heavy, dirty, expensive work on the boat and tried making this easy, fun and LOUD air horn made of pvc!

Love the homemade horn. It's the little things that will remind you of the small victories when you ride off into the ocean on that boat. Everytime you look at that funnel horn you will have the memory of the time you fixed the big horn. nice video

So I own a similar vintage Ford Ranger PU and couldn’t help but noticing that at ~1:30, you accidentally turned your wipers on while turning the wheel left. I’m glad I’m not the only one that does this!

Go to WalMart in the bike area and pick up a Zefal Little Big Air foot pump for abut $9 bucks or so. You can attach it to your horn and work it by hand or by foot. It is light weight and works like a champ for these DIY train horns. Stores away easy, too. Nice video, but I do wish you had listed the individual PVC parts for the horn here. Thanks for sharing.

Hey. Wicked cool video. Yet again. Looks like the boat is heading in the right direction. Can't wait for the next quick boat update. Was wondering though, alot of your very cool DIY jobs are possible because of the nice range of tools you own. What will you do once you permanently live on your boat? Assuming you can't take all your tools with you hey?

Nice one Marty. Well done mate. As inventive as ever I see!! From the various channels I follow on here, covering all kinds of subjects, it would seem that both Lowes and Harbour Freight are not only seriously handy stores, but also more than fair with their pricing too. Sadly we have neither in the UK so I shall just sit back and quietly be jealous of you fellas on the other side of the ditch :)

Put a 90* elbow on the long end and then attach about 10" of pipe and then the funnel. You can then strap it to the fishing crate so the long pipe points skyward and the horn points straight ahead. Just have the hose strategically placed close to the seat so you can sound off if you ever need to. Maybe instead of a 90* elbow you could use a T connector and close off the pass through section so it acts like a 90* elbow for air. Just make sure you close it off from inside the T, that way you can use the remaining section to attach a light source - giving you sound and visibility.
@l.i.archer53798 жыл бұрын
You could use the pvc horn as a backup and attach a bellow to the hose.

I just got a Freedom Hawk14 sit-on-top fishing kayak and it came without any seat whatsoever. I would like your recommendations for a comfortable, efficient add-on aftermarket seat that will give me great back support as well. I appreciate all I have learned from your DIY kayak videos and intend on following in your footsteps and I need to start with the right seat. I am BRAND NEW to kayak fishing so any tips and how-to's are always welcome. I am also an avid follower of your you-tube videos. I am in Portland, Oregon. Thanks in advance, Richard ( Bfloating1 )

Zoff...an admirable attempt at compliance....but you just haven't been around boats long enough to really get the hang of this stuff. Read the GG regs and you'll discover that an old soup pot whacked with a screwdriver makes enough racket to get anyone's attention while meeting all CG requirements. Cost....FREE! ; -)
