Our 5 Reasons to visit Biograd na Moru, Croatia
1) The Location and Setting
Biograd is located directly at the Dalmatian coast with a view on the Island Pasman. There are hundrets of Restaurants and Cafes where you can get an Espresso for as little as 80 cents.
2) Less Touristy version of Split and Dubrovnik. If you arrive in June there are basically no tourists and the Accommodation is a lot cheaper! Obviously since the pandemic there has also been a steep decline in tourism, which has resulted in much less people around the area too.
3) Perfect base to explore the surroundings.
You can easily access the Island Pasman, Vransko Jezero, Sibenik, Kornati Islands etc.
There is a daily bus which you can get from as little as 3 euro per ticket to a wide variety of destinations around Biograd, as well as the Jadrolinija boats which will take you to beautiful islands nearby for around 4 euro per person.

4) Rich History
Biograd was taken over by the Venetians twice and was a huge strategic point for the War of Independence. Biograd was bombed repeatedly in the war of independence along with many other coastal cities as these places were seen as perfect strategic points for enemies of Croatia.
5) Sunsets
Every single evening you can witness insane Sunsets that are out of this world!
We recommend you grab a coffee and head to the sea for a sunset swim and take in the final rays with your feet wet.

We have been there 2 times. Problem of Croatia is rocky shore and thus lack of nice beaches with good access to the water. In Biograd we mostly went to beach Kumenat which was OK for us….

Hi guys, thanks for this film. Can you tell me the biggest difference between Vodice VS Biograd and which place is better to stay?

Hey Mathijs ! Thanks for commenting ! Vodice is a busier, more expensive version on Biograd, but Vodice also has more selection of beaches. Vodice is larger also in size, and it seems to attract more tourists than Biograd too ! If we had to pick one to stay, we would prefer Biograd as it is smaller, cheaper, less busy and it has quite a lot of options for restaurants and cafes too. Vodice is better for nightlife, bars and parties though, so it really depends on what you are looking for. Thanks, Luke & Naomi
