Dev DaGoat Hand MJ played when Hakeem Olajuwon and Karl Malone played. LeBron plays in a softer era, where hand-checking isn’t allowed and getting hit on the way up the basket like Jordan was hit would be a flagrant.

Kenneth Erickson Rodman and Pippen are two stacked members. Including Jordan, thats 3 all stars. Lebron won a chip with only one other insane all star(Kyrie) against a 73-9 Warriors. No one talks about how Jordan lost in first round on many times. They always say “Jordan is more clutch.” If you are to genuinely check it, Lebron has better clutch stats. This leads me to say, without Scottie Pippen, Jordan cannot even make it to the finals or win the finals. But without all stars on Lebron’s team, he could easily make it to final series. Stats do matter btw. Lebron > Michael

He was never swept in the finals, that's why he's 6-0,the finals is what matters the most. Those people who still doubt MJ as the greatest ever, then they just don't know much, or maybe just playing blind like a nick Wright or a Shannon Sharpe. Agreed. Lebron takes games off when he's tired (and, if he gets sick, then he will probably take those games off too). Jordan would always play all 82 games of each season unless it was for an injury-players in that era didn't rest games to save themselves for later in the season.

@@gunveersinghdhir6186 dumb reason. There was no spacing in 90's. Look at kobe scoring 36ppg in an era of zone defense, no hand and no spacers(3pt shooters). Today even a weak players like kyle korver will be significant because of the outside shot. So if jordan was on a team with 3pt shooters with only even 35% 3pt and wide space plus he does not iso to much(because he always uses screens), he would dominate today. See why Giannis has easy access to the paint because of spacing. Too bad FIBA has no floor spacing.

even on the all-time scoring list a lot of people are talking about LeBron passing Jordan ,but the thing is it took him 16 seasons to do it. Jordan only play 15. When LeBron finish his 15 season he wasn't pass Jordan. They don't want to bring up that part though. Even in the All-Star games it took LeBron 32 more games just passed Jordan score. so you tell me who's the best. What if Jordan played 32 more games LeBron would be nowhere near it. It just goes to show just how good Jordan was.

Lebron is a very good player. In scale from 1 to 10 I would give him 9. And Jordan in the same scale would get 12, because he was ahead of his era or even two or three eras. That makes him out of scale. To be better than MJ you can't just be a very good player. You have to completley change the game, bring the basketball to a new level. MJ did that. I don't see any other player right now that have such ability. Besides, I haven't seen MJ making such embarassing traveling so many times like Lebron. I haven't seen MJ playing incredible poor defence like Lebron. Lebron is good but MJ just outclassed everyone in the league.

j k No. Wilt was a great athlete but his basketball abilities were limited. He couldn't shot free throws and his shooting abilites are unknown. Scoring points from 3-4 feet from the basket it is not versatile. You can't give someone 16 if can't score away from mid range. MJ could do everything. For me centers like Wilt and Shaq are great players but I wouldn't give someone 16 if the guy can't shoot a jumpshot and nail his free throws.

When you're 7ft 1 you hardly even need a jump shot. Wilt had a bank shot that was used beyond 3ft effectively. Free throw issue is over rated. Shaq could shoot about 85% FT in practice. But once in the game everything has pressure. Even free throws.

Let me educate you young LeBron fans. Now those of you that say LeBron is a better all around player I want you to look at these stats and this will prove he is not more of an all around player than Jordan. Career Totals Points Jordan: 30.1 Points Lebron: 27.2 Assists Jordan: 5.3 Assists Lebron: 7.2 Rebounds Jordan: 6.2 Rebounds Lebron: 7.4 Steals Jordan: 2.3 Steals Lebron: 1.6 Blocks Jordan: 0.8 Blocks Lebron: 0.8 Turnovers per game Jordan: 2.8 Turnovers Per game Lebron: 3.5 So in this case its Jordan 3 Lebron 2. Now lets go to the most all around stat there is in which is Player efficiency rating. Per Jordan: 27.91 Per Lebron: 27.69 So now it is Jordan 4 Lebron 2. Now let’s look at the defensive side of the ball. While many of you say that Lebron is a great team defender because of his blocks Jordan still averages the same amount of blocks Lebron has. Lebron is a terrible on ball defender and you can tell just by watching his games his whole career. But I will give proof Jordan was a better defender. Jordan won the defensive player of the year in 1988. Mean while Lebron never won a defensive player of the year. MJ would lock stars up and shut them down playing on ball defense while lebron would cherry pick a lot of his rebounds and his man would score on him plenty of times. Michael Jordan also has more All NBSA defensive teams. So again if we are going all around it is Jordan 5 Lebron 2. And people I just want to point out Jordan can even pass the ball like Lebron did believe it or not. In the 1991 finals Jordan had to play the point a lot. He averaged 11.4 assists per game on the biggest stage in which lebron I am sure has never averaged that many assists per game on the biggest stage. Jordan could pass the ball if he wanted his game to revolve like that but he wanted to take the game in his own hands most of the time because he was clutch. Meanwhile Lebron, needs his teammates at the end of games to step up for him. Anything Lebron can do Jordan can do AND better. So when we look at all around game I must say it is close but that is the only argument Lebron fans have. I would give Jordan even the edge on that. But I will be nice let’s say they are even. Now this will put the nail in the coffin as to why Jordan is better than Lebron. Now NBA finals wins Jordan: 6 for 6 -never allowed a game 7 Lebron: 3 and 5 -has had multiple melt downs in the finals. Michael Jordan was a way more mentally tough player than Lebron James he always stepped up his game when the game got bigger, meanwhile, Lebron relies on teammates too much in the fourth quarter. Just like the Mavericks finals game. Lebron has made the finals many times because the eastern conference is soo weak and the times where he actually has competition he is 3 and 5 which is pretty pathetic if he wants to be called the GOAT. Now let’s go season MVP’s Jordan: 5 Lebron: 4 Lebron still has a career to go but most likely will not win another MVP with Harden winning this year and with LBJ getting much older. Jordan played in a much tougher era where there was hand checking. For those of you that say handchecking did not make a difference I want you to go outside and have someone guard you. I want for the first play someone to hand check you and then the second play for someone to guard you straight up without even touching you. Trust me you will see a major difference in difficulty. Now Lebron has like 30 pounds on Jordan but player that have played against both say that Jordan was just as strong as Lebron going to the whole. Also Jordan even got up higher than Lebron did. Lebron is 2 inches taller BUT Jordan’s vertical is 5 inches higher. People it is not even close as to who is better Lebron or Jordan. As you can see with proof Lebron was not a better all around player and Jordan was better than Lebron in the big games.

Look at Michael Jordan stats the year before the triangle before Phil Jackson came and look at how grounded his game was. He was asked to perform a different task. And to be honest while the stats make sure was something close I believe that Michael Jordan is the greatest player of all time by a significant margin because there are other intangibles that you have to take into account. And while Kobe's numbers did not measure up to the Brine and stats the intangibles do and I believe that Kobe is better than LeBron and imagine if he did not get burnt out of Chris Paul.

In your defense, Lebron definitely had the harder finals competition than MJ, however, MJ had a much more difficult road to the finals than Lebron. Lebron would have never made an easy lay up from the 80's and 90's Back then they would foul the crap out of anybody. The Knicks and the Pistons from back then. Not only the Jordan shoe still lives on and nobody will ever come close to selling more shoes than the J's I still wear them the same way since the 80's tongue out and not tied.

Michael Jordan is #2 all time in steals. Lebron #16 Career Points MJ #4 Lebron #7 Lebron is top 50 in more categories than MJ. Rebounds, steals, points, assists. But Lebron's era had weaker defense. Less huge guys. Less very good and good shot blockers. Lets face it Rodman would degrade Lebron big time. Ewing, Hakeem, Shaq, etc would block more shots than todays nba centers against Lebron.
