I’m torn between the Amaran 150C and this Forza 60C. I’m a beginner to RGB lighting but want a professional one that can get the job done well in a small-medium room. Amaran 150 is more powerful, but do I need all that power, or will 60W get me by just fine for photoshoots?

@@alezcoll Hey mate hope you are well. I Personally, I think both lights are good enough to a lot of shoots. I use the forza 60c for many of my talking head and small photoshoots. However, if you're doing fashion which normally requires you to shoot at higher F stops, you might just need a higher W light. I use a Forza 300B or 500B in my editorial shoots most of the time. This allows me to shoot at high F-stops like F4 or F5.6 for a good overall sharpness of the models and the outfit, For those cases, I would use the Forza 60C as hair light or mood lighting as shown on the video. Hey Matt, thanks for your input there. I would say 60c is definitely good enough for a key light however it depends what you’re shooting. The light is definitely strong enough to light a subject if you’re doing product photography or KZfaq head talks or even some b roll cuts. However it does lack some power if you’re shooting editorial as you need to shoot at higher f stops. That’s why I used a 300b as the main source rather than the 60c when it comes to a professional editorial shoot. And these lights are so flexible that you can use it whichever way you want to. I’ve used it as key light, fill light and effect lights on different set. Hence my reason to recommend this. Also, while some cheaper lights are stronger the CRI isn’t accurate. This is crucial especially if you’re a videographer. You want color accuracy when you’re lighting and this light does the work. I would say this light is best suited for creatives that shoot both video and photo.
