I like the LT1 because no one knows what model it is until you let it rip.

I went to autozone and got the slim, long blind spot mirrors and threw those on the mirror. Three years later they’re still looking new and are a major help. The style looks like they’re meant for the car. Perfect fit!

Couple of observations: 1) Blind spot issue.....Do you drive your car solo most of the time? Would removing the passenger headrest help? I also thought of adding a rearview camera full-time while the car is on and a small screen.....Maybe one of those rearview mirror types? 2) Cloth seats and less sporty should not be an issue, this is the cheapest V8 sports car you can buy......The limited recline IS a very valid issue. 3) No issues with the dashboard. It has the basic stuff plus xtras on the little screen. This is not about being flashy...it is about sports. 4) Agreed....Brakes in Red s/be standard. Paint job cost is BS for Chevy. 5) Supercharger? Dude....get real.....How much you want for $35K?

Damn basically all the bad things could of been optioned out on a higher trim level. The 6th gen camaro is one hell of a car and a great platform to build off of

I loved my 2011. These cars don't really have that bad of blind spots once you set up your mirrors right

Everything mentioned would be realized by anyone before they buy the car. Pull a pin on the seat? Complaining about the gloss on the brakes? What a waste of a time watching this nonsense.

But the average MPG of 17.3 for a V8 is pretty impressive! I wanna get a V6 but am concerned about the fuel economy as I have a 4 Cylinder car right now. Thanks again.

LT1J, these 5 complaints are really really minor except for maybe the limited seat recline, the LT1 was created for people to get into a 455hp/455Tq 6.2 V8 on a budget and Chevy have delivered. One nice feature is if you get the 6spd manual it deletes/removes the AFM cylinder deactivation system from the engine which is nice. I have a 2016 Sierra 5.3 with AFM and on the trucks eventually you'll get a stuck AFM lifter and the cylinder head has to be removed to fix, I've done that repair on an 07' Silverado, annoying. My must have's if ordering/buying an LT1 would be the RS package, Tech Package 8" screen with 9 speaker Bose that believe it or not the Bose isn't available on a 1SS model but only the 2SS, dual mode exhaust and the grey painted split spoke wheels. That puts you into a V8 performance car for under $40g's. You just can't beat that. Yeah a 2SS is nice with leather, more tech savy instrument cluster, heads up display etc etc but it still has the same engine and the 2SS is heavier than the LT1. The only drawback would be the tires on the LT1 compared to the 1SS/2SS. This particular car has a unique paint scheme that actually looks pretty good. I can definitely live with the 5 minor complaints. You could hand paint the rear calipers to match the fronts in an afternoon, one issue solved for little $ spent.

Unfortunately I ended up crashing my Subaru BRZ. But thankfully due to the market, I'm getting a great pay out from insurance. A nice 18 grand in my pocket. Thinking about getting maybe a Camaro for my next car. In terms of the dash cluster, I prefer a more basic system. Not a fan of having a bunch of large screens in my face.

Bought a 2016 V6 new off the lot. I’m 6’2”, 175, and I have no problems with the seats or the visibility. I think the only problem I would have with the LT1 is the same problem I had with the V6... the 500 tread wear Goodyears that come stock are absolute trash.

Why didnt you get the leather seats, that is an OPTION? My complaint is the dash is TOO high and I am 6'. Brakes are ANOTHER option you could have chosen.

You had to try pretty hard to find things you don't like. I agree about the seats but everything else is pretty minimal.

Just picked up my 2022 LT1 only options are exhaust, infotainment Bose sound system, and black wheels.. I can afford a 1SS OR 2SS .. plain and simple the car has everything I need

You get use to it ...its not an issue..other performance cars have same issues ...your car looks great I love the wrap...perfect colors.....

If you get the upgraded seats the fit tighter, but yeah no matter how far it goes back it’s still super tight.

I think it'll look good on some wheels like American Racing wheels, Cragar wheels, or Fikse wheels, especially the 701s or the Profil-5S.

Mines a 17' SS 6 speed manual. Bought mine new and coming up on 47k miles. All I have done is change fluids and tires. Pulls like a freight train and still looks and rides like new.

number one thing i will say to all LT1 rookie owners or people who want one.....DO NOT RACE WITH TRACTION CONTROL OFF YOU WILL 100% LOOSE CONTROL WITH THEM SMALL ASS STOCK TIRES ON THE BACK

My biggest complaint would be how narrow the tires are. I saw one for the first time at the dealership while car shopping and noticed the 245 section width tires all around. I really like the wheel style but it needs more than 9" of tread width. I spec one on the website with the Recaro and 6 piston 14.6" Brembo.

I test drove a Camaro LT1 today and could not get comfortable in the seat, it would not recline far enough back the way I like it. Going to try a Mustang Mach 1 later today. Seat comfort is very important to me.

LT1 they rob you on that 200MPH on the dash, because the LT1 comes standard with lower rated tires and thinner thread width in the back. SS models will put you around that 200MPH on the dash which is nice, I think you should definitely have that on your list, with the right tires the 6.2 liter deserves that higher ceiling

It does have BT. I just picked up the 2020 LT1 convertible.

I bought the Lt1 Rs 10 speed manual and automatic. Shock green is the color. Very smooth riding car and powerful to say the least. Had it 6 months and only 2k miles

Not trying to correct you but it's a 1LT model. The engine is an LT1 6.2, not to be confused with the 90's 5.7 LT1. Props on the wrap tho! Nice car.

My idea for a new trim level: LT4 - it’s got the base Camaro design with a ZL1 supercharged engine, with some SS features including the hood, all 4 brembo breaks and an SS dashboard. Price tag being somewhere in between the 1SS and the 2SS This would be the cheapest supercharger in the market... I’d definitely buy it

five things you mention you can upgrade aftermarket parts the brakes you can upgrade around being the same calipers you can change dash speedometer yes you can change to the SS aftermarket the seats you can upgrade them with leather seats less than $1200 the radio you can change to the 8 inch I have the 8 inch in my car 2021 lt-1 any who everything you can upgrade aftermarket parts as cute as the GM parts anyway try to do a video on removing the pins off the seats thank you

You can move the seats all the way back if you wanted to you would have to press down on the seat button (the button where you move the seat forward and backwards) and it will actually move down and snug onto the rear seats. If it does go down but doesn’t snug on the rear seats then move the seats back.

You all obviously cheated out. The SS is so much more than the cheap LT1 and if you wanted a supercharger you should have bought a ZL1. Keep in mind a fully done iron LT1 motor can put a ZL1 to shame! Obviously depends on your cash flow!

Bro you bought a small coupe v8 ? What exactly were you expecting you should of gone for a challenger it’s a coupe with lots of space or charger . The visibility idk I went from a charger to my lt1 shock and it don’t find the visibility an issue . I agree with the screen but you can easily switch for the digital one . My cam is 10 speed automatic it’s fast loud neck breaker the only issue is it has the rs lights. I wanted the other front lights and I agree about the brembo breaks they could of just gave us the breaks and switch the colors .

A blower might destroy the engine or shorten its life. I think you're better with naturally aspirated.

Cars will know pretty quick what model it is. They're fast cars . But drive over 100 250k then say if it's reliable. Interior quality on American cars are low. Steering wheel is rather bulky That same guage cluster is used in other cjevy suvs. It's it's an ls with a manual trans overall good car. The 5th gen models share the same dash guage as the equinox. I have a bk2 genesis with a 3.8 good value for money hp per dollar. For the price. 40k for the newer chevy camaros are steep for me. As for not having a super charger I'd rather have a na car. With a built engine. More reliability

The fifth dislike definitely isn’t relevant as the LT1 nor SS was ever offered with a supercharger lol but thanks for the video, a couple friends of mine have been convincing me to trade in my Stinger for a Camaro LT1 or SS, but after seeing this, gives me more insight to just spend the few extra thousands and get the SS.

The Camaro is a good car for me it’s not meant for some people as far as visibility I have a 2.0T the 4banger Camaro it’s quite swift the a rs 2LT package just a couple mods on it and I’m pushin just right at 300hp

After using them for 15 years I can't drive any car without them. By the biggest blind spot mirrors that can fit into both of your side view mirrors and you will feel like Mario Andretti. You can see everything in front of you to the windshield and you can see everything behind you using your side view magic mirrors
