I bought the 0017 first and I could not wear it because all edges were very sharp. I sold it after one week. Then I ordered the 0019. I must say that this watch is wonderful!

Agree with everything, i also prefer NH35 which is genuine robust Seiko movement.

I have too agree! Case size is spot on at 40.5mm. 20mm lug width means it will be much easier too find spare straps whereas the sno19 has a 21mm lug width. The Movement being a Pt5000 is the big difference and the clasp, However two of my sno17-g has the upgraded clasp, Which is slightly thinner. Also the bezel action on the sno17-g feels better in terms of not being too loose or too stiff. Whereas the Sno19 is pretty loose. I also prefer the thicker links! 👌 Shame they have made them thinner on the sno19 😒

I have the SN019 and it’s great. I do wish there was more color options. I think the increase in money is worth it. Once you get a watch with a glide lock clasp you won’t go back.

The SN004-G is compact, solid and reliably spectacular. If you want I can send you a pocket calender if you're going for a multiple day scuba dive.

I've got a SM with a PT-5000 and it's awesome keeping +3 per day! My other SM is a SN020-G with a NH-35 it keeps +1 all day long. I prefer SM makes their watches with a NH-35 as a option...

I have the SN017 and the watch is sharp , the case , bracelet & crown are all sharp. It’s a nice watch … but the edges need sorting out as it makes the watch uncomfortable to wear. The SN019 looks and what I hear is a much more comfortable watch to wear & the specs have changed ( ok the size increase of 1mm will not be to some tastes ) . The movement is a PT5000 ( a Chinese clone of the ETA 2824/2 ) or if you prefer for a little more money a selita movement

The only thing i hate about this watch is the hexagonal logo. Other than that its a well build watch.

The sn019-g is by far the better watch. If I compare, the sharp edges sn017 feels very much cheap! The new sn019-g plays in an completely other league. Only the glide-lock was a dirty crap on the sn019-g but got sake I get the new clasp, its totally fantastic!

Interesting that you had nothing negative or even suggested one thing that could be improved upon.

For my first automatic watch I want to be able to see the movement. I’ll probably go for a Pagani with the NH35 for that respect. I heard the San Martin bracelet is far superior but for the money at around $100 I can get a NH35 with the exhibition case back. Maybe upgrade the bracelet in the future?

Totally agree about the value for money aspect of this older version of the SM Subby homage. The Seiko NH35, although 'only' a 3HZ movement, is robust and reliable, easy to regulate if required. The PT5000 from comments by customers who have bought watches with this movement, lacks consistency re build quality, esp with regards to crown/crown stem and wobbly(poorly screwed in) rotors. You can get a great one....or not. It's a little better in some ways, but given the possible potential issues with the movement choice, is it worth a little more than twice the price??? As for the extra cost of the SW200....... Thanks for your comments.

nah sn019 is way better not to mention the awesome movement of sw 2000
