That is what Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) wants to drive for. The country's number one automaker wants to drive hybrid technology forward, and this is what they want to use to do it: the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid.

Great review, this has been on my radar since the Rav4 hybrid is over 2m. Though I have to say I had double check the channel if this was an SNL skit when he mentioned at 0:55 that the Corolla Cross shares the same platform called TNGA. 😁😁😁

Hi Autoindustriya. Thanks for the great review. Any advice whether to go for Kicks e power or Cross hybrid. I like the kicks for its acceleration and torque but not the interior and also low resale in Thailand. Any thoughts?

We only have the Corolla Cross for our market. So we can't really give you a proper advice as we haven't exactly driven the two in the same conditions. Low resale could mean a good opportunity to get a depreciated pre-owned unit to try perhaps?

Back seats should fold down flatter. Really reduces the usability of the back as a whole when the folded seats are so high still.

Battery as advertised is made for lifetime of the car. Whoa! Probably 20yrs or more?!?

Batteries continue to come down in price, a Gen 3 Prius battery used to be $4-5k US and now cost $2k. Only going to go down in the future years and last longer. Right now they are estimated to last 12-17 years and you can put almost unlimited miles on them in that time (taxis constantly put well over 300k miles on a battery). Now you will get some MPG loss as the battery ages 8-10yr mark you may notice some degradation. My Prius is 10 years old and still gets 45-46 (was 50-51 new) mpg at 140k miles.

Fuel Savings are compltely irrelevante and oversrated depending on monthly car Costs . Some Tesla Owners are paying around 1170 Dollars a month while Bragging they are saving money on Fuel when in reality 1 single monthly Cost covers the all year in fuel costs 🥺

I wouldnt worry about that. They give 150k or 10 year warranty on the hybrid battery

@@Pianistp3 Really? I read from some comments that Toyota Phil only gives 5yr warranty on batteries? The battery on the camry 2022 hybrid also is nickel- metal hydride (NI-MH)while other countries are already using lithium ion (LI-ON).

10-15 yrs or 100k-300k miles if you properly maintain it. 3-4k usd to replace the whole battery. Based sa mga hybrids repairs sa US. Not sure dito sa pinas since very new pa hybrid satin.

nope. the gasoline engine will still work. the battery will work for more than 200,000 kilometers. They have a warranty for it i think.

@@milopichu in the US hybrid system have a 8 year 100k mile warranty by law. I believe Toyota does 10 year 150k miles. Hybrid systems don’t fail all at once. The battery will likely last 12-15 years and be 2-5k to replace regardless of miles
