Actually VW does offer an R variant (not R-Line ). Its just not shipped to North America. That one comes with real exhaust tips.

Most likely buying the 2022 4moition Tiguan. Just wish it came with the DSG transmission

I've just bought a 2023 Tiguan R line, love the way it looks in Black, 2 things let's it down. i. The SMG 7 speed auto gearbox is pants, it's constantly over revving without moving much from stationary, this leads to pulling out on cars when you think you have more than enough room, and, ii the haptic buttons on the heater controls are terrible, it's very difficult to get the actual temp you need.

I just got the Tiguan 2022 comfortline R Line black edition oryx white colour What a beast!! I was gonna get a rav 4 , good thing is stopped at VW they hooked me up nicely within 6 days I got the car 😅

it have a big problem with the white color ... after couple of months i start see rust dots on the car ... and i buy to my wife T-cross also the same problem after one month start to appear rust dots

...and a couple reasons not to buy one: City only gas mileage - below 20mpg usually. Actually worse than my 10 yr old Transit Connect with 240,000 miles and some tools and material inside. Hwy mileage is much better. If a person can mix the two, things are workable. Infotainment center: 2022. Enough said. Probably the most straight forward item on the car and it is so buggy, maybe I will call an exterminator😅 Most days, it either freezes for a bit other days it is like a new phone is plugged in. For the love of all things tech, after nearly a year can it just recognize my stink'n phone and not make me choose options to fire it up😵😵 After 3 or 4 times, I just stopped putting in my phone favorites. It just randomly loses the list just for the hell of it. Love how it drives, love the look, but holy hell, get me out of the 90s😅😵

Bottom line! The Tiquan needs more power if it wants the #1 US sales market over it's competitors. This is the only reason why VW is not leading all sales in this segment of the market.
