just what I needed... your videos provide some of the must intelligent and useful content I've come across. I could use some good advice as to how to copywriter music. Example if I copywriter a piece of music then make any changes to the recording do I have to resubmit? this can get expensive. I think getting music properly protected and also distribution and royalty collection are very difficult topics for me.

Copywriting music has a lot of value, but it just depends on if you are publishing it or if someone else is. If it is your own material, yes - it is advisable to copywrite it. But there are other ways to protect it too - for instance being the publisher of it and registering it with a PRO (BMI, ASCAP, etc.). Thanks for this question because it is inspiring me to do a video on this topic! Hopefully that video will answer all of your questions.
