It really gets to me when the lyrics say “I wish that I could wake up with amnesia and forget about these stupid things, like the way it felt to fall asleep next to you” because that is such an innocent part of a relationship. This song I can relate to.. I met this boy in 2nd grade and we were friends for the longest time.. I grew feelings for him day after day.. I went up to him one day and told him how I felt and he just hugged me and told me that he was in love with me but then he told me he had to move and he promised he wouldn't leave nor hurt me but that's exactly what he did. A while ago my best friend had told me that he might be moving, but since I was really young I never really thought much of it. We did everything together. We even had sleepovers and would hang out at the park. I remember my dad told me the next day that he was leaving and I was heart broken. The next day at school he was packing his stuff up to get ready and leave. I tried talking to him but he told me he didn't want to get to attached since he was leaving. After that he didn't talk to me. *couple years later* I was really lost without him. But then middle school came around and I got to see him for the first time in like 5 years. It was awesome. We were great friends for about 2 months, now he just acts like I dont exist.
