I used to listen to this song thinking of my boyfriend. We’re ex’s now and looking back on it now our relationship was so toxic. Since he was my first bf and I was very young, I had no idea what a healthy relationship should look like. I found myself relating to this song so much especially in the lines “is it easier to stay is easier to go” because I thought about breaking it off multiple times but didn’t want to hurt him. Then again, I didn’t want to get to attached. Eventually, he moved away and broke up with me over text. TEXT. I was pretty sad at first but have wayyy moved on since then, which was almost two years ago now. I’ve grown as a person after finding my personality and interests after focusing on myself for a longtime and made good friends, regained my confidence. He recently tried to get back together with me saying he never really wanted to end things and missed me. Guess who got turned down this time??
