This episode shows the importance of demanding a reasonable valuation. I think all the sharks immediately understood that the valuation they were demanding was either low or reasonable relative to the product scope. But surprised to see that they took the offer of all the sharks which valued the company at around 7cr when they were getting a valuation of 12 cr from Ashneer and Namita.

People need to understand that it isn't always about better equity, it's more about the quality of people you have in your team. Having the backing of all 5 sharks is just a part of history, and everyone can contribute in their own way to the product. This helps them easily to grab more investors at a significantly higher valuation if needed.

I think the best deal was for 6%, where they were getting Aman, Vinita & Anupam 3 sharks, plus they would have saved 6% as compared to the 5 shark deal.

They should have gone with Ashneer and Vineeta's offer. No matter the equity share, the Sharks are way too busy with their lives to focus on a single business. That's why on Shark Tank, irrespective of the Shark, or the experience that they bring, you should go with the deal which gets you the most money for the least equity.

I think they should have countered with ₹1.25 Cr for 15% , all the 5 sharks are coming and are welcome but that doesn't mean you put yourself in the backfoot , 2 is as good as 5 in case of guidance and financial backing as well and also the strategy of having 5 may backfire as all the sharks have different behaviour and work culture . 1.25 Cr each contributing 25 lacs would have been magnificent but yeah this deal is also very good for them .

While everything looks to be rosy when you get the deal and this guy thinks he gonna make another multibillion popsicle company, the part he needs to be careful is All sharks together is too much noise. They ain't the one who can gel and coordinate with each other here ( could be drama, I don't know). I wonder what this poor guy has to go through when everyone tries to pressurize him to follow their way of working. It was indeed an achievement to get a deal from all sharks but I really feel that he should have chosen which ones he wanted specifically.

Poor Deal ... Target was 45L for 5% Equity. They were offered 60L for 5% Equity with 2 investers. That was it. But Why they accepted 1Cr. For 15% with 5 investors ? Because They could have easily got more investment in future if they wanted. 😎😎

not every pitch is for money. He clearly mentioned that they arent looking for money. But brand and positioning because sharks have already a channeled businesses where they can advertise. almost for free.... At the end of the day, they hold majority.... and decide whose strategy to implement... And also an option that, their competitor wont be supported by any of the shark later...

Well they must have watched previous shark tank episodes and probably knew that they might get a slightly worse deal like maybe 45L for 7-8% Now they got almost the same deal but they have all 5 sharks + not many companies would have gotten more than they asked for and all sharks invested so that will benefit them for brand promotion

What if he accepted the two separate offers i.e. 60 lakh for 6% and 60 lakh for 5% that made up for 1.2 cr for 11%. I dont know if that could have happen but the final deal was a steal for the sharks!

This deal was like all benefited at once with a little backfoot for the couple. You gave away 15% and they just had to invest 20l each for 3 %. Does not make sense to take all, sab k expertise ka ek saath upyog nhn Kar sakte, they are all different from each other's way of work. 3 Shark at 60l n 6% could have been a better deal in my opinion.

1st offer by Anupam: 45 lakh for 5% (alone) 2nd offer by ashneer & namita: 60 lakh for 5%.(30 lakh for 2.5% each) 3rd offer by anupam, aman, & vineeta: 60 lakh for 6%.(20 lakh for 2% each) Final offer 5 sharks : 1crore for 15%(20 lakh for 3% each) That's why they are called shark... Pitchers should have gone for 1cr for 10%.

Bad Deal, they had to dilute more equity at a lower valuation just to keep all sharks. Ashneer Vinita's deal was best. 12 crore valuation and only 5% dilution whereas in this they had a 6.6 Cr valuation and 15% dilution. Doesn't make sense.

hey set india i only saw 4 offer in 5 sharks 1st - anupam 45 lakhs 5 percent 2nd - ashneer , namita - 60 lakhs 5 percent 3rd - aman , vineeta , anupam - 60 lakhs 6 percent 4rth- all shark deall - 1cr - 15 percent
