Thanks for the usefull phrases. I think "Ez a mindenek teteje!" can in many cases be translated to "That beats everything!", preserving the exclamational character of the original sentence without using the imperative.

1:30 It could just be me, but that sounds a bit strange. Usually, when people use “no spring chicken”, it’s in a negative sense. Basically, the point is that getting old is a bad thing, and weakens people. The second example is a better use of “spring chicken”. In terms of the original sentence, I guess you could use the phrase “born yesterday”. “Your dad is wise because he wasn’t born yesterday”. To say that someone was born yesterday means that they’re gullible or not that quick to pick up on when they’re being tricked etc. In any case, Hungarian is a really neat language, so thanks for sharing it with us.
