Once my Budgie hopped off my mom's hands just to go on my shoulder, Then he chirped and I started giving him a treat! I love my budgie!

My budgie used to let me scratch it’s neck. Then I got another bird and it stopped letting me pet it… He isn’t afraid of my hand like the other birds, and will jump on it if I have treats, but he won’t let me pet anymore😭 The other birds are his main focus now🥺

so i guess munmun (my female parakeet) is mad at me for taking her out of the cage. she with no hesitation hops on my finger because she knows when she does that i click and there is a treat. but this time i took her out of cage, clicked the clicker and gave her treat and still kept her out of the cage. instead i should have quickly taken her back inside and keep doing the in and out routine. since she was out of cage for too long she got scared and started flying around until she found the cage. somehow she managed to get inside the cage. So, now she doesn't hop on my finger fast. she waits, looks me in the eye as if she's asking "are you going to take me out again mister? because i don't want to."

When I got my second budgie and trained it, both of them loved me a lot, but when I got my third one, the first one started to play with the third one and spent less time with me. Happily, he still knows everything he learnt when I only had my first two.❤😅😊

Since Parakeets are smart, I am going to teach the Parakeet that I am going to buy at the pet store, what I call “The Zip! Clip! Trick”. That’s where you teach your Parakeet to act like a living Cordless Clipper, and give you a close Headshave! I have never done that before, but, I have taught the birds that my Parents have had in the past to zip their beaks through my hair! And I have been very successful at that!

Hey! I came for help a bit because my brother got a 2 year old budgie from his friend, because he wanted a budgie and his friend had too many of them. Basically we're trying to tame it, we bought him some snacks and our Budgie (Zephir) did munch on them, but Zephir is still biting and flying away from us. my budgie just fear me for no reason but he eats seed from hand

I think it's something wrong with my bird, love me and do a loot stuff with me but hade to grab one time to get in to cage mad to me 2 days and agresive and attacking my hand and bit pretty hard for no reason. Got it as 35 days old and now 3 months old. Reason I grabbed and force to cage is that I had to open my window to get fresh air in to my room and it's about 2 degrees celsius outside and wanted to bring my bird to living room for it to keep sleep and not get cold from my room. Try to be gentle to her but sadly she have been negative. Allways let it fly around in my room for 5 hours and that day I grabbed was the day I forget to close cage door when she went for food. I am afraid to let it fly around because it can be sleeping on a corner in my room and I do not want to grab her. Since she get to my home she have been afraid of everything for no reason even she was trusting me and played with my ears and neck and spending hours on my shoulder, where I go she follows me on my shoulder at home but now doesn't get close to me. My hans are pretty big and she fit between my hands without holding her so I do not hurt but got really mad to me and idk what to do. What I try to stay with my hand with her snack on my hand and still hand feed her and when she have eating up her snack start to attack me again even if I do not move my hand, time will tell.
