im the mod that rejected liming_ng's run, we initially thought the background going off couldve been a glitch but what actually led us to remove the run was him admitting to it in a private message with myself after being confronted. :)

Honestly for me to take any blindfolded speedrun seriously, the person attempting the run shouldn't even be facing their screen. Hypothetically, they could do it all facing a different direction.

The "blindfolded" cheater reminds me of this one time I watched an *actual* blind guy play Ocarina of Time. After a quick search just now, I found "TrueBlindGaming" and I think it was them. So impressive! Edit: He's also not facing the screen and as others have said, if you're going to do a blindfolded run, you may as well face a different direction as further proof.

There's just no point in cheating in speedrunning. It doesn't get anywhere, and it doesn't give you the satisfaction and feeling of accomplishment that you truly want. Cheating also just gives you hate and suspicion from other communities

You got some facts wrong in Lming's run he didn't get caught he actually came out and said that he cheated his run

Quick note on Lee: the run with Trihex and Carl Sagan in the background is different than the one with the handcam. In the former, Carl asked Lee to crouch during an autoscroll section to verify it wasn't prerecorded, which Lee did not do. That's what led to increased speculation as to whether or not he cheated, at which point it was discovered that his handcam did not line up in other runs he had done.
