I love tanks, still haven't gotten my man Ruuto but maybe someday. As for aesthetics I've always been a huge fan of the classic "white knight" but at least Gorm functions basically the same job.

Teleportation unlocked. I was one of the fools who spent like 12,000 on his banner but somehow I find myself coming back to him to test things out every now and then. Have some DPS like 2B that I ignore more than him...

Between him and Ruuto, do you find either to have an edge over the other in terms of their overall kit? It seems like they both fufill the same role as a tanker. I have both, not sure who I want to build when I get to them (new player, sorry if i sound like a dumbass).

In regards to who’s better…I think it’s entirely debatable. They both fulfill the allure tank role so well, with some niches being the only thing that separates them. Can’t go wrong with building either one of you need a tank currently.

@@BoodaFish leveling characters and unlocking their ability, it's just my 7th day, i think am just impatient, still finishing quests though. Haha. Bad luck with the current event as well. Already saw some of your guides so i think i am progressing better than the last few days. Thank you for responding.

@@darrylcuyos02 yes you are definitely impatient lol When I started, it took me 2 months to max one character. Now we do have things to make the process quicker, but not unless you put in the daily grind. Try to focus on one unit, do the special training and grand ability gates 3 times a day for one unit.

tempest dragon should be worth a mention. -15% PD taken. only costs 1 SC more than spear high boost

@@BoodaFish i think it'd be helpful if we had an explanation on how damage is calculated. it would be nice to know how much of a flat DEF increase you would need to equal a given damage % reduction. honestly, im not even sure how my DEF stat affects final damage calculation, i just know the damage reductions are typically better

Both great. Can’t go wrong with either. Use ruuto if you want easier access to heals. Use Gorm if you want to make your dps unit a lot beefier

While spears are good ,swords are still number one due in fact to one skill that was added to an ark "chivalrous minds" So are we going to ignore this... or am I revealing secrets.

Considering that all chivalrous mindset does is increase the str stat of the sword, and def stat of the armor, I’d argue it is much more negligible of a return than you might think. The 20% to phys dmg decrease with spears is a much better “secret” imo ;)

it'll add 50% DEF from your armor. best armor has 368 DEF, meaning chivalrous mindset will give 184 extra def, which is not nearly as good as -20% Physical damage taken. THe only thing that would make Chivalrous mindset viable is if you have the limited crystal long sword, which gives a 15% DEF boost, and the godgold armor. Even then, its still probably around the same, maybe a little less than the spear set up
