Michael Van Buren is a 5 Star Quarterback at St Frances Academy, he’s the #2 ranked QB in the nation according to ESPN. Mike has offers from over 30 D1 schools, including Alabama, Tennessee, Maryland, Oregon, Oklahoma and more. Among those offers is Penn State University. Last week we traveled up to Penn State with the 5 star for a quick one day visit. Spending the day with PSU QB Drew Allar and Coach James Franklin, Mike enjoyed a visit at one of his top schools. Mike will finish his senior year at SFA before making a commitment decision. He hopes to lead SFA to a National Championship.

@@taynton5483 Not back in the early 2010s no. But right now you should be. Look at Penn states recruiting. There's a reason Franklin is here. They brought him in to not only get penn st to the elite level, but to beat ohio st. Im gonna tell you something, the 2023 season is the make or break season for Franklin. It's huge and is going to defy his legacy and the future of where this football program is going. It's put up or shut up time for this team and for Franklin in 2023. If they do not beat ONE of Ohio st or Michigan and win the big ten championship and get their asses in the CFP, and compete well against most likely Alabama or Georgia or whoever elite team they're playing, not only it will be a failure season but that will solidify that Franklin is not the coach to take them to the next level and he needs to go. 10-2 seasons with wins against shitty teams and losses to Ohio st Michigan and ranked teams in general and finishing 3rd place is not going to cut it for me. These 11 win teams he had in 2016 2017 2019 and 2022 are no better than the 11 win team Joe PA had in 2005 2008 and 2009 and they're all really good teams but they were not national championship (elite) material. Franklin needs to be held at a higher standard than Joe PA was held at from 2000 to 2011 because Joe wasn't able to recruit st a high level anymore in those years. Right now Franklin is recruiting way better now than Joe did from 2000 to 2011 and there is no excuses to not achieve elite status. The time is now for Franklin. Shit or get off the pot. Failure to do so, psu needs to move on to someone else who will get them over the hump. We'll see what happens next season.

He’s a 3 star from Maryland and he’s not going to Penn state . I wouldn’t mind having him. But his list still has him cool on Penn state

@@jacob45415 it’ll be 1 or the 2. Afraid we’ll end up with neither of we don’t take MVB. Rumors he might move up the commitment date. IMO, if Allar has a huge year, we’ll get another top 5 QB next year making this years class not as important.
