Speak English With Vanessa is there a mistake with the grammar? it should be “5 steps to become.. “ rather than “5 steps to becoming..” the experience I learnt from school tell me that its rare to get “ing” verb after “to”

I'm thrilled to have you as my favorite native English teacher and I'd love to becoming your student one day when I join you in your best course called The Fearless Fluency Club, I hope so 🙏❤. I can speak English more confidently even with some pronunciation and spelling mistakes, there's nothing wrong with it, everyone makes mistakes. I speak English at my own pace because I think I don't need to sound like a native speaker because I wouldn't be myself in English and I just need to take it easy by speaking English like I do without hesitation as well as gaining more confidence non-stop. I've been learning and enjoying English for so long and I also started learning other languages last year, I'm currently learning German because I feel like speaking it and I had been learning French as well but I don't know what happened exactly and I want get it back. Cutting to the chase, I'll continue to enhance my English skills and expand my wide knowledge of English much further. I've been getting into learning other languages from being a monolingual person and now I'm bilingual at least. I'll also keep on striving for more improvements and advancements to be more active and genius when learning English and any language I like. Thank you so much for everything you've provided me, Vanessa ❤🤗🌹.

Hello teacher Vanessa. I really enjoy watching your videos when I have a freetime. Indeed, instead of doing something in French, I force myself to do it in English. Well, since I started to speak english, I can read and speak English. Finally, I totally agree with you : in a middle school or in a high school, the teacher doesn't care about your mistakes. That's because in class, there are about 30 students per class. As matter of fact, It is so difficult to see all your mistakes in order to emphasize this one's. And studying at school is so boring... To conclude, I like watching your videos, it's so instructive 👍

Greetings, Vanessa. I started learning English when i was 23. Now I'm 44. 2 months was enough to take a grammar. After that i started speaking with myself. In few years I got a job in American oil company in our city. I worked there 5 years. English was very and very useful for me. I used to speak with foreign people, who had English not like native language. I hadn't any problems with understanding. When I listen to you, I just imagine you seating in front of me and talking, and I understand 99.9 % of your speech. And suddenly i realize you're on the other side of the screen. Funny 😊. But other thing happens, when I try to watch video on KZfaq. In this case my listening perception is saying : No, man, you understand only about 30%. Maybe less. Especially when the speaker rushes. I've been trying so many times. Which advice can you give to me to increase my comprehension ? Thank you for your good job on this channel 😘

I can relate to that. I have a tip that could help with your comprehension at fast English: get used to watch those videos with English subtitles. You will become more aware with what those sounds mean if you know what is said through the subtitles. Try with movies and series, for example. Thank you for your sharing; it helps other people when they know about our experience with learning English or any other language.

@@SpeakEnglishWithVanessa Dear Vanessa, it all depends on how intensively you learn a foreign language. If you have one 60 minute class per week, then 2 months are definitely not enough to reach conversation level. If you have 2-3 classes a day, then perhaps. I speak from experience, being a language teacher from Hungary, having taught English for more than 20 years.;) I really enjoy your teaching videos by the way.:) Congrats!

I'm stress and frustrated whenever someone ask me a question about something and i can't properly elaborate or how can i explain it to make that person understand. It frustrate me that i can properly understand they are saying, but myself i can't speak english fluently because i am lack of words to say and it bothers me.

I know it's frustrating, but understand you are learning, and learning is an entire process that takes it's own time to develop. It's okay to not know the words, because you will get to know them eventually. Don't be ashamed to use the words you already know and go from there! And let me tell you something: I've been speaking English as a second lenguage for more than 18 years now and I still find words I don't know, so we are always learning something new... Be easy on yourself! You're doing great!

Hello! Vanessa. I really admire your way of teaching English, and you helped me a lot to overcome my speaking issues. When i listen to your videos i feel like I'm capable to learn English. Furthermore, learning English would change my professional life. Currently, I'm studying at the higher institute of English in Mauritania. All my teachers are native speakers, therefore, i really need to improve my language. Every exam i need to give a presentation and hate presentations cuz I'm not accustom to speak in front of people so i couldn't get the highest grades. I would appreciate a piece of advice to overcome this tremendous failure 😔
