Lost in the Woods was especially chilling! "never let yourself be separated from the pack"----maybe the way a lion separates an antelope from the herd? A predator's natural choice would be a young one rather than an adult----the easy kill. It sounded like the ranger was warning them about a predator he knew hunted these woods.

Simple rules I learned long ago. Before you go off the road look at a map and be sure you know where you are and some landmarks around you. Take the map along if possible. If you get lost it helps to know which way the nearest road or running water may be. Never leave the trail if you are on a known trail. Pay attention to the time and your surroundings, remember as best you can any landmarks. Always carry some food and water, and a jacket or poncho no matter what the weather forecast or how long you may plan to be out. If you find a road stay on it and go in one direction. If you find running water go down stream. Don't waste energy screaming or running, just move toward one of those things I mentioned.

Anyone else notice that "Luke" had actually zero relevance to that story? I can only assume she was not-so-subtly bragging about snagging a hot guy despite blowing him off through their teenage years. Also, I have some doubts about her telling of the story, since all that seemed like a really stupidly ineffective way of attacking someone. Stranger things have happened, I guess...

For most of my childhood my family and I would go to a creek surrounded by woods. We would follow trails all day. I never saw anything mysterious but still very eerie. One day we went walking, my dad had brought along his bow and arrows. We saw several water moccasins on the trail. Some under trees that were hollowed out by the roots and some by rocks. When we got to the creek there were what looked like hundreds of them on the banks and in the water. I've never seen that many snakes at once in my life. I know my dad shot 13. Needless to say we left soon after. That was the last time me and my 2 sisters went along. My dad still goes to this day. Who knows, my dad may have saved our lives.

These stories are some of my favorite. But it's so frustrating when over half of them that involve someone "seeing something" have some aspect of, "I didn't tell them what I saw, or heard, or know." Stories with kids and adults alike have that so much for so often weak reasons.

Loved these stories and love this channel, but I have to call bullshit on the last story for 3 reasons: 1: English people do not say soda, we say pop or call the drink by its name e.g. Coke 2: The 'chief of police' is called 'Chief Constable in England 3: There is Nowhere in England called 'The Devil's Canyon.' Other than that I loved these stories :D

First story is quite sad and has a strong sense of realism to it. I believe it to be truthful because that is something that is sadly not uncommon in cases of disappearing children in wild territory. Sometimes 'remains' are found with quite some distance apart. Also, I have had an eerily similar experience to story number 3 in the deep areas of the Texas hill country. There is definitely something that lurks in remote areas on the North American continent and just like described, it is certainly hominid and tall. The weight of its steps was so heavy that the thuds reverberated through the limestone bedrock of the creekbed my brother and I were in. I do not believe it to be the benevolent and elusive bigfoot though. Its actions were like a calculating predator and seemed to be trying to coax us towards it.

True. I heard a story about 8 years back in California. A young female jogger was killed and eaten coyotes. Although not large animals. If they are in a group and starving.. very dangerous animal to be around even if your a large man. Rule of thumb do your best to avoid groups of 4 or more. If they are following you get away be ready to kick and defend yourself.

Coyotes can easily break through bones. If they can take out a large dog, they can easily do a large amount of damage. Could also be a cougar. They are so rarely seen but are therefore whole time.

Sorry but, story #5 😂 total bs! If you're going to make up a story & pass it off as true please make it believable. In the UK we don't use the word soda, our police ranking doesn't include the rank/ title chief of police, (Although It may be possible that the British definitions of these things were changed to their American definitions). We don't have canyons in Britain therefore Devil's canyon doesn't exist! There is however a Devil's gorge but it's in Wales not England. She states that they live in a small rural village but later says her dad is "Chief of police for their town". If the missing couple were tracked with GPS their location would be fairly precise surely? If there was 5 strange men wandering about on a 'canyon' at night chasing someone the police would have appealed for info from the public. Good effort 'Danielle M' but, next time try to at least make it believable. 👎

I'll never forget the time my cat disappeared for 24 hours. That was panic. Sheer panic. All air ports and sea ports shut down. Search teams a la 'Fugitive' working throughout the night. House searches on known recidivists properties. When he came home of his own volition he was given a severe talking to. It still hurts to talk of it.

... I have a dread fascination for this type of stories for a very good reason: as a Cub and Boy Scout in the 50's and '60's, I *absolutely* should have been the Missing Child Poster Boy for *NEVER BE ALONE IN THE WOODS.* I actually went off on my own every chance I got, so as to be able to hunt for rocks & minerals, and study odd things like lichens on a boulder with a magnifying glass without anyone bothering me. I'm now 67 ... and at the distance of half a century, stories like these scare the living daylights out of me. And yet, I can't remember anything at all scaring me back then, even when I snuck out at night to explore especially strange places. All I remember was logically being what I'd now call "hypervigilant", but that was about it. I'll now offer the short-short version of something very strange that happened in my ratty 3rd floor apartment, when I was about 28. I assume that I'd been dead asleep in the middle of the night, and then suddenly remember rolling right out of bed, fully alert as my feet hit the floor, and in a classic self-defense stance: feet apart, knees slightly bent, arms outstretched, hands open, thumbs up, fingers slightly curled (and completely naked, I've *always* slept in the altogther). My attention was 1,000% focused on something inimical in the darkness not 6 feet from me, and I was absolutely outraged that "something like that" would even *DARE* come anywhere near me. I was so outraged that I took a couple of steps toward it, swearing a blue streak and absolutely craving getting my hands on it. Then I sensed that it was gone, and I just calmed down, got back into bed, and went right back to sleep. Honestly, to this day, I shake my head in blank wonder at this crystal-clear memory. Something in me simply reacted as needed at that moment, and whatever it was, it knew exactly what it was doing in every sense possible. Some kind of pit bull--strength spiritual self-defense. I offered that short-short version of that very strange nocturnal face-off as a probable explanation as to why I never actually "went missing" as that apparently totally dumb kid repeatedly wandering alone in the woods. To me, it all adds up.

In Malibu CA there's a state park. Fairly remote. In the back of this park is a shallow cave that our local "witches" use for their night time outings. The cave has a burnt roof due to the big bonfires they use. As a teen my friends and I encountered these nuts one dark night doing whatever they do and they chased us out. Long black robes with pointed hoods etc etc. So, there are nuts in the woods.

"Lost in the woods" most definitely sounds like a mix up, or of, realms. Yes, REALMS, NOT PARALLEL WORLDS OR UNIVERSES. THIS IS SPIRITUAL. I PRAY EVERYONE WILL REALIZE THIS BEFORE THEY MAY NOT BE ABLE TO. LIKE IT OR NOT, "TRUTH" MUST BE TOLD. THESE STORIES WERE NEVER SO PREVALENT. SO DARKNESS DOES PREVAIL. BUT THIS IS NOT A GOOD THING. NO OFFENSE DARKNESS. YOU ARE MY FAVORITE. I LOVE YOUR WORK.

I would call the "Lost in the Forest" story "The Scream." I think the scream the searchers heard was from another dimension - a most probable future for the man who was lost. I think the scream was from the lost man being eaten alive.

Story 3, Loud screaming in the woods is probably a damn red fox. They sound like women screaming or some sort of supernatural entity screeching some sort of absolutely horrible noise that sounds like what you would imagine a banshee scream would sound like if there were such a thing. Story 2, Ouachita National Forest is fine. Great place! I've been all over, completely solo. Even they-hiked the Ouachita Trail solo. Only ever had one creepy thing happen that could be explained possibly. The mind is a powerful thing.
