Hey guys what’s up?! I honestly didn’t plan on making a video today, this was more of a personal ride just to get out and clear my head but I figured I’d talk about some things I’ve wanted to bring up and mention about my 2017 bmw s1000rr that I dislike & since I did that I had to also mention the things I love as well! Hopefully you guys enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching and I appreciate all the support, really does mean a lot to a guy like me, hope you’re all doing well, stay safe as possible out there everyone, the riding season in NYC is fast approaching, I can’t wait, hope everyone’s ready 👍 I’ll see you on the next one.

This is my first time riding it since I dropped it off to get the wheels done, I forgot how it pulls in the last few weeks of not riding 😂 can’t wait to get the new system on and retune it, you’ll have to get a WOT pull off of it this szn, thanks again for picking her up for me dude I appreciate it 🤝

not tryna bring any negativity into the comments but, I can't wait to own myself a bike one day, i recently got into a break up and i just heard from friends that also ride, they just say you feel so free riding and it's like speed therapy to them. I've been watching you since before my break up for a fact lol. So yeah just wanted to say that. Ride safe to you and all the bikers in the comments

@@MADLITS1K and if i dont lol, i still probably will be driving one of my dream cars one day too, i know i may not be able to catch up cuz yall bikers are fast🤣 but driving out w cars or bikers, is gonna be a good stress relief for me. and dont worry, i love motorcycles to much, ill make sure to keep an eye out for you guys when im out on the road☺️

The blue on the wheels complements the bike entirely, they look super dope. It’s awesome that you got your bike back after not riding it for a while, the secret tune kicked in 😆. Anyways, happy riding and be safe out there, thanks for the content as always ✌🏽

Man the S1k will always be my dream bike 😍😍 but I’m definitely a bigger fan of the nearer gens because of the dash😂. Such an amazing sound that comes from the S1k , looks AMAZING no matter what color or wrap you got, speed is no problem at all, although it’s a BMW and more on the expensive side of bikes it’s still a BEAST and beauty

The gaping hole in the fairing is to allow the cooling fan to draw the warm air out. There is method to BMW’s ideas.

The power coated wheels are 🔥🔥🔥 bro!!! Looks great.👌🏽 What’s crazy is as much as I admire this gen of the S1K , I NEVER noticed the gills being on one side & not the other.😅😂 & about the tail , I HIGHLY agree with you.. This tail & the 2006-2016 Yamaha R6 have the sharpest looking tails in the game! In my opinion.

Thanks tay 🤝 I’m happy with how the wheels came out & yeah I’m guiltily of noticing it late too, I think I only peeped because I actually have the bike now so I just stare at it all the time and when I saw it I was like wait a minute….😂 & you’re actually a 100% right with the R6, I totally forgot about that tail, that tail is insanely aggressive!! Good mention 👍

Thanks man, and price will always be different for different wheels, the place you go, the color.. these were $600 flat, a little pricey imo, if you’re in NYC I’d say shop around else where tbh

I’m extremely happy with them, changed the look of the bike & yeah that was weird to me, I think the rear they gave me also has a plug in it, not sure what the deal with that is but I honestly just didn’t feel like dealing with the back and forth and taking my bike back for a old beat up set of s22s that I was changing anyways but I’m never taking my bike back there again, that’s for sure lol

What's up brother !!! The bike looks great....for me that bike sounds good because of brand of pipes that you have..... As for the tire I love my metzler K3, heats fast,super sticky,but don't go on the shoulder because you will get a flat.....Keep up the great work.....

Hey what’s up! Thank you, so I decided to keep this system for this season, had issues with the exhaust I wanted, I’ll probably explain in a future video.. as for tires I’m waiting for my Q3+ to get in! I’ve never heard of k3s I’ll look them up.. will keep up the videos once summer rolls around and the weather is consistent 🤝

Awesome story, they’re one of the most unique sounding cars that I feel like people don’t appreciate, my buddy had a turbo corrado back in the day and I watched my other boy build two 99 box body VR6s from the ground up, one of the most reliable VWs you can get lol (at least the older ones), I was almost a vdub guy myself but missed the chance of picking up a 01 1.8t back in the day that was up for sale with low miles, all maintenance done by my boy, for around 2k, couldn’t afford it and someone else brought it and later totaled it down the freeway at triple digits, man, memories haha

S1K gang baby LETS GO!!!! Bro the bike looks amazing especially with the carbon fiber parts as well as this wheels 🤩 , the likes and dislikes is very accurate and the energy got me hyped. Bout to ride to the gym cause not all of us are blessed with being thin 😩 I love my Arroz Con Pollo to much. Great video and can’t wait to see more 🙌🏽

I have a gen3 too and I agree with pretty much only the gaping hole dislike. My dash has never gotten dusty but I have heard similar stories to yours. My biggest dislikes are how unrefined the engine sounds and how quickly the bike gets hot on warm days. I used to ride a suzuki and the engine sounded so much more refined and "clean". This bike's engine always sounds like it's ticking or is running without oil in it. Other than that I love pretty much everything on it. I would have liked a dedicated wheelie control setting instead of wheelie control being part being part of the traction control but that's about it.

Supposedly carbon fiber frame covers help with the heat, or at least how hot the frame gets, I picked up a set so I’ll find out this season, burned my leg one to many times & yeah, I call it “the S1K chatter” the weird thing is I actually like it and idk why, it doesn’t sound good but it doesn’t sound bad to me either, accepted it as a characteristic of the bike iguess lol wheelie control would’ve been nice, would’ve been a cheat code to learn how to wheelie but we can’t have it all, still a great bike overall 👌

You should check the date of those tires and readjust your suspension for the new tires. It might of changed your geometry

My man how can you get a Double RR and dislike the whole concept of having two bikes cut in halt and put together ergo the asymmetric headlights and fairings? Are you bigger on the latest gen ? The wheels look sick. Also I think you should get a carbon piece for the tail section that would be a nice detail (edit: ah you already getting it haha ) anyways nice video

I bought a zx10r. Brand new 2010. 13300.00$ cash. Still have it. 11200 miles. Ride it on really nice nights only. Never been in the rain. Nothing bad I can say about my special edition 👍

So you don’t like the headlights being different, they wanted to be different from everyone, it wasn’t just weight savings, get aftermarket leds like mine, they look better than most bikes out there, it has the nickname of the soulless beast bc of it looking different. Do a blue clear clutch cover too, i have a red one on my 2015, i use to have a 2010 that had a gold one. You complained about a fairing gap, at least they don’t come flying off like some bikes do, FastLaneD had his bran new R1M literally right when he got it in 2023, he had the fairing snap back and hit him in the leg. I’ll agree with you on the wheels not being colored. I didn’t notice the dash thing as much but, yeah that could be annoying. 2015 -2018 BMW S1000RR is honestly one of the best Superbikes hands down. Just curious, how much do you weigh? & is your forks set on the number 4, look at the top of your forks as if you were sitting on the bike, there’s numbers that go all the way around it 1-10 They say red is for compression. And yellow is for rebound. The rear shock also has numbers and then a secondary part that just takes the skill of knowing turning with a specific metal tool from what ive seen from the david moss tuning KZfaq channel. I tried to screen record and zoom in on yours, looks like compression (left side) is at a 4 but, it looks kike rebound (right side) is at a 8. Mine are all set to 4, i wanna know what the best setting is for someone that is probably 180-200 with gear on.

trying to started. im a late boomer (27) but I need to get my license and on the road by the end of the riding season at least. I need advice, school recommendations, maybe someone to train me, mock driving test, and so on and so forth. any advice would be great. I'm also a NYer. You're probably not gonna see this message but if anybody has any advice, would be greatly appreciated. I'm 100% dedicated and invested into this (already started buying accessories) and I just need good coaching. p.s. your bmw is my dream bike. love the rim coats.

Whats up man, I considered myself late to the game as well as I didn’t start riding until I was 24 or 25 I think, first step would be studying for your permit & setting up the 2 day course with the MSS (motorcycle safety school) for your M endorsement, you can take the permit test before or after the MSS course. (I took mines after just to make sure I passed the course first as your permit expires in 6 months), watch a bunch of KZfaq “how to ride” videos or take the different courses the MSS has or look up schools that teach you how to ride and go that route, plenty of options there. Be smart with whatever bike you end up buying and be as careful and as safe as possible out here, know what you’re signing up for with this bike stuff, yeah it’s fun, exciting,stress relieving etc but it does have some serious risk, especially riding here in NYC, leads me into my finally point, which is make sure you get good quality gear and wear it, I personally don’t but it’s a layer of protection for something that’s pretty risky, maybe others will come across this comment and add on their thoughts as well, good luck!! 👍

@@MADLITS1K maaaaan this helps more than you know. Yeah bike life looks cool with the wheelies and stunts, but honestly thats not for me. I could never even do tricks with a regular bicycle growing up. I've been told that I'm speaking too soon in that regard because people think riding will change my mind as I progress, but I'm great on sound judgment and decision making. I'm use to thinking ahead and planning for things as I anticipate whether I'm in an alert situation with brake lights surrounding me, and even on an open road. But I get it, you never know people and what they thinking or doing. For sure you will see me in this great community. Thanks again man. Forgot to mention but I actually like the 1st & 2nd gen headlights better as they’re slightly more aggressive and sharper, with the gen 3 they kinda softened them up but they’re unique, cant deny that lol

Right on & debatable but I can definitely appreciate Ducati’s designs, I told someone once if I had the money I’d buy a super leg just to put in the living room and stare at it 😆
