When you lock the car all you do is pull the handle straight after you've locked it to check it's locked before you walk away it works even if you have the key on you 😊

High just watched this video, I have had a plain " Service " key cut for my focus MK 2.5 Zetec , this key, as on some Fords, is a Fiat key. It's programmed to open the doors, and start the car. But is so much better at opening the bonnet lock. There is no buttons on it, and less chance of it getting damaged, when your car's in for service work etc. And if you keep it separate to the flip key, you can get home if you loose the flip key( non key_less ) cars. Hope this is of any use.

I'm glad my Focus is just the Zetec because the keyless entry would do my head in too! On the other hand I like how the indicators don't cancel too soon, as my partner's Fiat Panda does the opposite and tries to cancel half way round roundabouts etc. I also like how you can tap the indicator if you just want a few clicks, for example when exiting a roundabout. Did you notice that you can't just push the internal fuel flap open by the way? It will only open when a pump is inserted, and also only fits the correct pump shape (petrol or diesel). Not sure how this works if you run out of fuel and need to use a petrol can though!

I have the mk2.5 2009 (59 plate) 1.6 zetec TDCI in a lovely blue colour and love it! I prefer having a normal key for it too! Don’t like those keyless cars and push start buttons! I much prefer having a normal key! lol

Oh my goodness me, sir, don't get me started about the keyless entry on my Seat Toledo! Like on your Focus, it doesn't fold the mirrors in either...

I also have a keyless entry mk2.5. What I do is: push the black button on the handle (to lock the car) then pull once on the handle. It should stay locked. There is a timer (I believe it's 3 seconds after you lock with the button, in which you can pull on the handle and it will not unlock). But I understand you, first few times after I bought the car I would ask my sister to pull the handles after I locked it and step away from the car.

My brother has the MK3 Titanium and I'll agree with the power fold mirrors making it easy to tell if the car is locked. I have the MK1 no fancy schmancy keyless, no powerfold mirrors what it lacks in goodies it more than makes up for in the drive experience.

my mk2.5 has a fob and flashes once double locked electric mirrors are a pain and expensive, its a money maker and a waste of resources lol not so much recently, but one month it happened 8 times?? some idiot decided to hit every car door mirror on my street in broad daylight, i think he was using a rounders bat coz i saw him on a BMX with one hand clearly holding a small bat i heard the other cars being hit from up the road as he went past my front garden I shouted out as he hit mine he went into a sign post looking over at me, i then ran over and my neighbour came out and chased him down the road with his car i thought!! i have karma already coz i saw what i saw and he hit that post with the side of his face, fell off, between my Focus and the post he then got back on it very quick as approached him my neighbours door mirror swinging as he drove past me shouting at me where has the little shit gone lol he didnt catch him the mirror on mine had been bashed backwards the mirror samshed this was with them tucked in replace the mrror with a stick on top of the old i then travelled further one day that week for work and this lady came over my side down a country lane in her SUV and my drivers door got it bad this time, the mirror flew into the half opened window then i hit the passengers door on a branch that same lane and had stop to pick up the outer cover, it colour coordinated cmon this was all in one week that friday i came back to my car from a days work and saw my passengers door the opposite way? got no idea ? whilst waiting for a replacement a cyclist went into my car, i was stationary more concerned about the bloke then my car he hurt himself in the hip but he was ok and very sorry this was at a roundabout he hit my passengers mirror, hitting my mirror in a rush bent it backwards i think he went over a drain cover and lost his shit i replaced with 3rd party both sides then they both got smashed travelling down country lanes 2 weeks later they didnt stand much of a beating and broke instantly so i re-glued the old ones back together i had to screw one back in with a 9 inch screws, but it worked very well, i just couldnt fold them away eventually finding a decent two the breakers then they both got bashed but they seemed to be surviving until i didnt own that car moral of this story door mirrors are a bloody pain ,,,,altogether this was in a mk1.5 Focus i now have a mk2.5 so far somebody decided to boot my door, i saw a foot mark on the top part of the door and the window the rubber sill had rubber foot marks looked like Nike AIR MAX whoever did it did it with a lot of force unable to break my window but slightly dent it the fold of the door? i really like the Focus mk2.5 they are a very good looking conservative but slightly sporty car and very roomy and wide cheap to run, nippy and a good ride, a car you can trust round every corner replacing parts one of the cheapest ive had one issue though and thats my speedometer cluster saying silly things like engine malfunction its to do with the wiring loom connection in the cluster? besides that its a good motor being 15 years that aint bad door mirrors are electric positioning but not mechanised which i dont mind, makes me check the car after a drive and its automatic for me to the point i think did i do it ???

Fords don't really have the best rust protection. These are good cars but I prefer the Astras cause they have better interior materials

I think you are missing the fuel cap , i have it it is black plastic cap . You have it on the internet .
