Loved it. As a mom of 17, 11 adopted at all ages, my only added contribution is when rearing teens, to put up photos of them as cute little kids they were and photos of great adults they could be to remind you of the cycle of life. They were adorable little guys (even though they may not have lived with you then) and will be great adults thanks to your loving and patient parenting. In the meantime, one day at a time! It really works! And I ask for your prayers as I at a healthy 81 send documents after documents to adopt a teen girl from Bulgaria. Love you all!

I have never in my 69 years of active life ( not secluded ) have I witnessed a more wonderful momma and daddy for these precious babies. I am watching you since the girls came home and I don’t have enough kudos for you. God bless you and your family. I love your little girls.

Very great advice. Community isn't what we have. My daughter doesn't even have real friends. 😢 She is 12. Diagnosed with ADHD and on the autism spectrum. We have no one to really depend on. My sister and I are older which does make it harder. Just never thought we'd have no one to depend on. We are in our 60's which makes it harder to find a community. Even lost friendships after bringing my daughter home. Some people didn't agree with what we did. Wouldn't trade it for the world.

Praying for you and your daughter to have all the love she needs from you and hopefully praying she can find friends who aren’t judgmental and accept her for herself. All my love ❤

Great video. I have 2 special needs adult children who constantly throw me curve balls. It is hard to not feel responsible as a parent for some of the silly things they choose to do. It is always hard trying to guide and direct to positive behaviours and social normalcy. Sometimes it is a very lonely place to be as it is super embarrassing, especially as they have access to social media and can put things out for all the world to see. I appreciate the challenges you face with your girls, you are doing a fabulous job.

Thank you for sharing, well said. From one adoptive mom to another everyday can be a struggle but when God calls to do something adopt etc, He will see you through those tuff times. We just started the process of fostering again. God has opened so many doors for our family to serve and to be a recipient as well. We needed a toddler bed and a family showed up and gifted us one. Right now we have a precious child sleeping in that very bed. The family gifting the bed to us will never know how grateful we are. It all in God's plan that we are to serve, others may serve in gifting or sharing their time!!! Most of all praying!! God bless your family ❤

I dont have children but I'm amazed at what you do. Seems you have your hands full already. Not sure why I would want to adopt any more but I guess you can handle it. One thing you forgot to mention. For all moms...take care and take time for yoursef as well. Self care is number one.

Simply, Thank you! Sitting here at 5 AM with tears rolling, GOD KNEW I needed YOUR words today. Thank you (God just reminded my heart, train them in the way they should go and when they are old they will NOT depart. His promises are so precious and sustain me.He also sends others along our path, I KNOW God sent you my way ) I had. To edit and comment after laughing, watch Myka fold that BIG shirt was absolutely hilarious and precious. She was so careful about folding and it was like that's too big... so she kinda. Wadded it up. Adorable!

This is exactly what I needed right now. My two adopted kids are young adults now. We poured all that we had into them. As teens, they both rebelled. It was a terrible time, and we did not have a supportive adoption community. I had to Lear that the choices they made, were just that THEIR choices. We dedicated them and raised them in a God fearing and loving home. They turned on all of it. Still not serving God. I am holding to the promise, they they will return. Sometimes, I say it with a hurting heart, but always with a believing heart. Thanks for all you do, Ashley and Stan! Y’all are pillars in the adoption community. Y’all are so respected and loved!

Ashley, your family are all these girls need. I admire you all so much. It is clear they feel safe with you all. You are right. You did not cause their disabilities nor is it your job to fix them. Look what you have done in terms of surgery and dentists and therapy etc. These wee cuties feel safe to behave the way they want to. That's what's going on here. You ARE everything to them. God bless you all ❤❤❤❤

Are the girls US citizens now? What is the process for making sure your international kids have citizenship and do they duel citizenship with their birth countries? If you haven't made a video on this topic yet, I think that would be a great video.
@TheFeltsFamily
@TheFeltsFamily 11 ай бұрын
Hey! They are US citizens. We complete the whole process in China of adoption and once they land on US soil--they are citizens. For the Philippines--you take legal guardianship of them in their country. Then once home, for about a year, we legally adopt them here is the US and they are citizens. No dial citizenship.
