Melva Rodriguez does the man stop you from socializing? What is your addiction?
@shawnmurphy96676 жыл бұрын
BreakFree Addiction thank you for the great advice. I can abstain for a month during that time I am eating well active and happy and then instantly after four weeks the cravings comes and the Temptations overwhelm me to the point where I will use sometimes I feel like if I can get past that month I will be OK after I use the guilt eats me up for a week
@karmabhutia34476 жыл бұрын
@@shawnmurphy9667 no matter how much temptasion you have please don't give up. Think of the future without any type of temptasion the present is all the power. Think positive, exercise daily, eat healthy, most importantly is having patience. Hope you are doing well my friend. I pray you get out of addiction.

Karma Bhutia thank you so kindly with all of my heart I sit here in the morning I have my meditation and prayer and then I try to do something positive and helpful I feel that every little thing I do that is healthy is building block to a better way of life patience and tolerance very important on this journey once again I thank you because your message inspired me and gives me strength

@Melva Rodriguez I hope he followed up after this comment. I hope you can find somebody in a group that can help you. And I also recommend that you find other passions and hobbies. And attempt to fill the time, cravings, and urge to use. It's different car every person, and there is only so much you can do online. But do your best to reach out to others, that in some way understand what you're going thru.

Love your videos you must make more. My problem is I need to cut out the friends who smoke weed! Cause some of them will never change. Question how you cut them out completely when you know them for so long? Sometimes it's so hard for me to say no to them. Like yesterday and today I met up with a two friends whose still smoking weed. I think I must just make up an excuse even though I never smoke eventually if I keep joining them I will go back to my old ways.

I really like to listen to your tips, because you sound like you actually know what you're talking about. My biggest struggle is the darkest place. The inner voice telling me to go ripping and running again. I have no chance to resist, barely postpone it. Right now I'm trying to postpone the urge until I'm no longer alone at home, but I tend to lash out at others. I don't want to be like that anymore, but I'm not strong enough.

@BreakFreeAddiction Жыл бұрын
Thanks for asking for help! Trust me it will be extremely hard if not impossible to quit this way. YOU HAVE TO MOVE away from the "trigger", which in this case is your roommate. it is not his fault! Tell me if you have more questions.

thank you...what if you are dealing with a sad situation with your teenage child? but you are trying to quit?
@BreakFreeAddiction6 жыл бұрын
Sofia thanks for your comment. Situation is what it is, while sadness is how we interpret it. Our response to the situation itself. This is all I can say given the information. Any specific drug you want to quit?
@SofiaR2986 жыл бұрын
Yes smoking! the situation is that my daughter i have been through stress because she didnt study, went out and stayed out of my home at friends houses for days, yelled at me no respect, now went to live with her father last month all of this has made me soo sad, angry, i just dont know what else i could have done to change it, i wish she would come back, study, be respectful cooperative but im afraid she has been spoiled by her father who was not around before, i raised her, but now he gave her a car, trips, etc....i did yell at her and i would get mad because i wanted her to change
@BreakFreeAddiction6 жыл бұрын
Sofia I can understand. In this case it might be harder (not impossible). However, you can still give it a try to stop for couple of days. When you stop, you learn soo much about yourself, your emotions, feelings, and you learn how to control them. Maybe you fail to quit this time, no worries, you will give another try. Trial and error what makes it successful.

You should find a rehabilitation facility, with doctors and psychological help. You do not have to do it alone.

The best reply to you is why are you asking for advice on getting sober if you don’t want to? The video doesn’t touch anything really but if someone doesn’t want to then why ask how? Of course rehab doesn’t work.
