Defence weren’t all that and our dm’s were average and we needed someone better than giroud. Was obvious the few changes we needed to push fir the league so frustrating, when it became obvious we were making do instead of trying to go to the next level.

Im sorry to say this but the biggest reason why Thierry Henry didnt win a CL in Arsenal... is Thierry Henry 😂😂 I know he is a legend but he did miss two very good chances in 2006 UCL final. And both of those chances were at 1-0 Arsenal. I have no doubt that if Thierry had made it 2-0, Arsenal would have won it. There would have not been a Henrik Larsson made comeback by Barcelona if it was 2-0.

Wenger's best performances have come when his team played on counter attack. Inter Milan away and AC Milan away is one of the best counter attacking performance I've seen. That would also explain why Liverpool vs Arsenal was normally a very high scoring fixture in the league cause both teams used to be very good on the counter attack and poor in defence but now Liverpool are on the level arsenal used to be in the past so it's really one sided despite a few wins from arsenal here and there

A top team MUST destroy big teams regularly. Otherwise, it's not a top team, but a regular 3rd or 4th, who tries to close the gap with the second. In fact, the title of this video (great video, thank you for the work) tells a lot about the expectations of arsenal fans since the 2011-2012 season. It's so miraculous now that they beat a team of the top5 that we make a lot of videos of it to celebrate this occasion...

he thrives in being one of several creative forces in a team. You could see that in Madrid as well. He played so well with Sanchez, because Sanchez was not only a great goalscorer, but a fantastic passer of the ball. Same with Cazorla - granted, they didn't have the same synergy, but the presence of another creative player removed pressure from Özil, which has, historically, made him play much, much better. Some players thrive under pressure and expectations (Aubameyang is the only example in recent years), others do not. Same reason someone like Özil or Xhaka makes a terrible captain.

Arsenal needs wenger to compete on top tier premier league. Every manager always have some hard times, but wenger could manage to run the business with signing youngsters to became a high value player

it might've taken wenger a decade to truly build a team that lived up to the invincibles, but when everyone was injury free and on song, wenger's football philosophy sang. a shame ozil and sanchez never topped that 15/16 season again and its taken cazorla years to fully recover from the injuries (wilshire too). and to think that he even gave them two top-class strikers as a parting gift like he was playing fifa on easy mode. if only he'd left on the high after that last FA cup win..
