I am a United fan and I hated him few years back for obvious reasons (lost both the champions league finals to Barcelona ) . I used to give pathetic reasons such as he can't do it without xavi or iniesta ,he can't take freekicks like Ronaldo he doesn't have the heading abilities like c.ronaldo etc .As I grew older and played and understood football I realised Messi is a God . There isn't any footballer like him . C.ronaldo would always have a special place in my heart ,his time here at United were one of my best days as a United fan but I would still agree to a large extend that Messi is miles ahead of him .Different class .

You watch his performance vs Cadiz and then you watch his performance vs Betis, and just look at the confidence and how he carries himself on the pitch. What’s so fascinating about Messi is that he not only hasn’t lost the ability, and yea he’s matured into a more complete player but you can still see that relentless, innocent young self in him today. That young kid who was bursting out of confidence, taking on anybody who came in his path and most importantly enjoying himself. Just look at his face at 13:17.. look at that smile. That’s pure joy. He plays football in its purest form and doesn’t seem to show any signs of slowing down. Appreciate the greatness while you can! 🐐
